The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried

9、out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO

10、collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. 13、-,- INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ISO 24214:2006(E) ISO 2006 All rights reserved 1 Skin barrier for ostomy aids Vocabulary 1 Scope This International Standard defines terms dealing with skin barriers for ostomy aids as defined below. The International Standard does not cover medical terms or general adhesi

14、ve terms. The terms do not individually or collectively define or recommend a product of a specific design, style or size. NOTE See also the terms and definitions given in ISO 8670-1 and ISO 8670-2. 2 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in ISO 867

15、0-1, ISO 8670-2 and the following. 2.1 backing base material that supports skin barrier sheets NOTE A base material may be film, non-woven, etc. 2.2 faceplate wafer base-plate device to which an ostomy bag or an irrigation drainage sleeve may be attached and which interfaces with the body 2.3 flange

16、 rigid rings, one on the faceplate and one on the ostomy bag designed to effect a sealed connection 2.4 frame adhesive tape around the skin barrier 2.5 hydrocolloid hydrophilic colloid used as a skin barrier component to provide water-absorbing properties 2.6 microporous tape porous adhesive tape th

18、ve and water absorbing properties, which are used to protect the skin from excretion by stoma and other environmental factors NOTE 1 Skin barriers are an integral element in an ostomy collection system, holding the bag in place around the stoma. NOTE 2 Skin barriers are commonly available in sheet,

19、paste and powder forms. NOTE 3 Environmental factors may be bacteria, contamination, toxic agents, etc. NOTE 4 Stoma is defined in ISO 8670-2 (definition 3.4) as abnormal opening established on the body surface. 2.9 starter-hole pre-cut opening in a skin-barrier sheet material that can be cut to acc
