The work of developi
4、ng International Standards is carried out through IS0 Technical Committees Every Member Body interested in a subject for which a Technical Committee has been set up has the right to be represented on that Committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO,

Draft International Standards adopted by the Technical Committees are circulated to the Member Bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by the IS0 Council. 9、oduction or networking permitted without license from IHS -,-,- INTERNATIONAL STANDARD IS0 1749-1973 (E) Aircraft - Elastomeric sealing rings - Packaging and identification 1 SCOPE AND FIELD OF APPLICATION This International Standard specifies the requirements for the packaging and the identificatio
10、n, when packaged, of elastomeric sealing rings for aircraft 2 PACKAGING 2.1 General 2.1.1 It is essential that sealing rings be individually enclosed in sealed envelopes or in pockets in a multiple envelope provided that they can be removed without affecting the sealing of the remainder of the compo
11、nents in the package. 2.1.2 Packaging shall be accomplished under conditions which will ensure freedom from contamination, dust, oil, grease, etc Attention should be given to ensuring that the packet is efficiently sealed. 2.1.3 The sealing rings shall be free from strain (i.e. they shall be adequat
12、ely supported) and no part shall be tied or tagged. Rings of large internal diameter may be formed into three equal superimposed loops so as to avoid creasing or twisting It will be noted that this condition is impossible to attain in two loops 2.2 Dimensions of envelopes The envelopes shall be squa
13、re in shape, their preferred dimensions being as follows : mm 55 x 55 100X 100 150X 150 205X 205 255X 255 in 2.25 X 2.25 4x4 6X 6 8X8 10x 10 2.3 Packaging materials Preference shall be given to use of heat-sealable opaque materials. Suitable materials are polyethylene-coated kraft paper, aluminium f
14、oil/paper/polyethylene laminate and opaque polyethylene film. Polyvinylchloride (PVC) film shall not be used If a transparent or translucent material is used, the packages shall be over-wrapped with an opaque material when stored. 3 IDENTIFICATION The marking of packages to identify the contents sha
15、ll include the following minimum information : 1) part number, 2) material specification number; 3) quarter and year of cure (for example 3Q73); 4) compound number; 5) acceptance batch number, 6) manufacturer s identity These details shall be durably marked on each envelope or every pocket containin
