9、 of application This International Standard specifies a test method and requirements for the longitudinal balance of portable hand-held combustion engine chain-saws for use primarily in forestry. 2 Test method 2.1 The chain-saw fuel and oil tanks shall be half-full. The saw shall be fitted with guid
10、e-bars and chains within the dimensions recommended by the manufacturer. The test may be carried out with or without a spiked bumper. 2.2 The chain-saw shall be suspended from the front handle gripping area, a (see figure 11, at the point giving the best lateral balance, with the crankshaft horizont
11、al. 2.3 Measure the angle between the centreline of the guide-bar and the horizontal plane. (See clause 3.1 2.4 Chain-saws with an engine displacement of 82 cm3 or more which cannot meet the recommended angle requirement in clause 3 shall be positioned on a flat horizontal surface, standing steady o
12、n the base of the saw as shown in figure 2. With the saw thus, the guide-bar shall not touch the horizontal plane.
