Scope JIS B 2403 : 1995 This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the V packings for general o i l hydraulic machines and instruments, here

8、inafter referred to as the “V packings“, using hydraulic oil of petroleum base. Remarks 1. The mormative references to this Standard are as follows. In this Standard, units and numerical values given in are in accordance with the traditional units and are ap

10、pended for informative reference. 2. Classification The classification of V packings and the symbols denoting classifica- tion shall conform to Table 1. Table 1. Performance The amount of o i l leakage per packing gland shall respectively be 2 ml/lOOO strokes or less for the homogeneous rubber V packings-and be 4 mi/lOOO strokes or less for the fabric re

12、inforced rubber V packings i n the measurements of five times, when the V packings are tested i n accord- ance with the specification of 8.1. 4. Corrosion and Tackine When the V packings are tested i n accordance with the specification of 8.2, these packings shall neither cause corrosion nor produce

13、 tacking to the metal that comes into contact with these packings. However, the change i n colour on the surface of the m e t a l shall not be regarded as the corro- sion. 16、 (2) The V packings shall be free from remarkable twist and warp. 6. Appearance The surface of V packings shall be w e l l finished and be free from harmful defects such as flaws, cuts, fissures and cracks. 7. Materials 7.1 Material for Homogeneous Rubber V Packings The material for the homogeneous

17、rubber V packings shall be the rubber, the physical properties of which shall conform to the requirements of Table 2 i n the testing i n accordance with the specifications of 8.1, and be uniform i n qualities. Furthermore, it shall neither contain any substance liable to contaminate the hydraulic o

18、i l of petroleum base nor any substance causing corrosion and tacking to the metals that come into contact with the V packings. 22、be the oils of No.1 and No.3 specified i n 12.3.1 of JIS K 6301. 7.2 Materials for Fabric Reinforced Rubber V Packings The materials for the fabric reinforced rubber V packings shall be composed of the fabric and rubber conforming to the following requirements (i) and (2), and when the fabric insert

23、ed rubber sheet for testing is tested i n accordance with the specifications of 8.4, the physical properties shall conform to the require- ments of Table 3. Furthermore, the materials shall neither contain any substance liable to contaminate the hydraulic oils of petroleum base nor contain any harmf

24、ul substance that errodesand causes tacking to the metals, which come to contact with the V packings. (i) Fabric The fabric shall be uniform i n its density of the warps and woofs and be free from defects such as flaws, t w i s t s and knots, and shall meet the purpose for use. (2) Rubber m e e t th

29、 o i l through V packing during the reciprocating motion, and shall fulfil the following requirements : (1) To be provided with two packing glands. (2) (3) The movement of the rod shall be of the reciprocating motion. The type of test equipment shall be either vertical or horizon tal. (4) It shall b

30、e capable of mounting the specimens specified i n 8.1.2, and shall fulfil the testing conditions specified i n 8.1.3. 8.1.2 Specimens The specimens shall be taken from the V packings of nominal number H50 or F50, and be used in combination of three pieces per packing gland. 35、 l leakage shall be measured at every about 10000 motions, and be converted into the amount of o i l leakage in terms of every 1000 motions. 8.2 Corrosion and Tacking Test The corrosion and tacking test shall conform to the following: (i) Four test pieces, 25 mm i n width and 50 mm i n length, shall

36、 be taken from the sheet materials, 2 to 3 mm i n thickness, which are manufactured under the same conditions as the products. (2) The test shall be carried out under the same test conditions speci- fied i n Table 2 and by the method i n accordance with JIS K 6301. 8.4 Tests for Fabric Inserted Rubber Sheet 8.4.1 Fabric Inserted Rubber Sheet for Testing The fab

41、ric inserted rubber sheets for testing shall conform to the following: (1) The material shall be the same as that for the fabric reinforced rubber V packings. (2) The fabric shall be laminated to the thickness of 2 to 3 mm. (3) In laminating the fabric the directions of weave shall be matched. (4) T

42、he manufacturing conditions shall be the same as those for fabric reinforced rubber V packings. 8.4.2 Test at Original State The testing method for the original state of the fabric inserted rubber sheet shall conform to the following: (1) Tensile Strength The testing method of the tensile strength s

(b) The test shall be carried out by bending the test piece by 180 with closely contacting it around the periphery of a steel bar of 5 mm i n diameter, and the existence of cracks shall be examined on the four test pieces. 8.4.3 Oil-proof Test The oil-proof te

48、sting method for the fabric inserted rubber sheet for testing shall conform to the following: (i) Three test pieces, 2 to 3 mm i n thickness, 20 mm i n width and 20 mm i n length, shall be taken from the fabric insertedrubber sheet for testing specified i n 8.4.1. (2) The testing shall be carried out by investigating the change of weight and the appearance, with the test pieces immersed into the test o i l under the testing conditions specified i n Table 3.
