General Rules 1.1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the testing

6、 method for incombustibility by the 45“ Meeker burner method on the board, plate, sheet, film, thick cloth and other similar float materials which are less than 5 mm in thick. However, this testing method can not be applied to the effective evaluation of the incombustibility of the thin material hav

7、ing a performance failing to meet the anti-flame Grade 3 as specified in 2.1. 1.2 For the incombustibility test, use the specimen as specified in 3. and carry out the heat test by the method as specified in 5. by the heat- test apparatus as specified in 4. 1.3 Where the properties of the both sides

8、of material are different, carry out the tests on the both sides. 1.4 Where the quality of material is different according to the part of material, carry out the test on each part. 1.5 Where the material has a directional property, carry out the test on each direction. 2. Kind of Incombustibility 2.

9、1 The kind of incombustibility shall be classified as shown in Table 1. Table 1 Note (l) Maximum about one second. 3. Specimen 3.1 The specimen shall haue a shape of about 30 cm x 20 cm and have the thickness at the time when the product is used. Copyright Japanese Standards Association Provided by

11、n shall be as specified in the following ( 1 ) or ( 2 ) . Method A Dry the specimen in the air-dried condition at the tem- perature of 50 + 2C for 48 h and leave it alone in the desiccater filled with the-silica gel for drying for 24 h and then carry out the heat test. Method B water that has a weig

Next, after leaving it alone in the desiccater filled with the silica gel for drying for 24 h, carry out the heat test. After immersing the specimen for 30 min in the warm 4.

13、Heat-Test Apparatus 4.1 The heat test shall be carried out in the container by using the apparatus as shown in Appended Figure. 4.2 As a burner for the heat test, use the Meeker burner having the heights of 160 mm and the inside diameter of 20 mm, and put only the gas in the burner without mixing th

Heat Test 5.1 Put a burner at the specified place of the heat-test apparatus as shown in Appended Figure, and adjust the burner so that the flame will becomes 65 mm in length on the condition that the supporting frame is not filled. 5.2 Use the sensitive coil to ignite the burne

16、r and close the fuel cock at the time of the completion of heat, 5.3 The heating period of time shall be six kinds of 10 sec., 20 sec., 30 sec., 1 min, 2 min, and 3 min. 5.4 The measuring items shall be the length of carbonization, remaining flame, and afterglow. Furthermore, record the state of com

17、bustion during the test. 5.5 On the remaining flame, measure the period of time of the specimen continuing to burn with flame. 5.6 The afterglow is the state of flameless combustion after the completion of heat. ,This state shall be judged by observation after the first one minute has passed followi

18、ng the completion of heat. where the state of flameless combustion of the inside of specimen can not be observed from the surface, observe (the specimen) by notching the specimen with a knife at the interval of about 1 cm after the first one minute has passed following the completion of heat.
