4、72.126 JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD J I S Method of Test for Waterproof Agent of A 1404-1977 Cement for Concrete Construction (Reaffirmed: 1982) This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the test method for waterproof agent of cement, hereinafter referred to as the “waterproof agent“, to be added

5、to mortar or concrete for construction. Remarks 1. The waterproof agent is divided into two categories accord- ing to its principal use, one for mortar of external wall use and the other for concrete use. 2. The units and numerical values given in 1 in this standard are in accordance with the Intern

6、ational System of Units (SI), and are appended for reference. 2. Cement for Test The cement to be used for this test shall be ordinary Portland cement specified in JIS R 5210. 3. Sand for Test The sand to be used for this test shall be prepared by blending dry sand used for glass making and sand use

7、d for cement test at the ratio given in Table 1 and then by mixing them satisfactorily. 9、 15 85 Standard sand from Soma, Fuku- shima Pref. and standard sand from Toyoura, Yamaguchi Pref. are blended at the ratio of 60: 40. Remark: The quartz sand used shall have passed through the 149 pm sieve opening of standard sieve specified in JIS Z 8801 but shall have stayed on the 44 pm sieve ope

10、ning. 4. Water for Test The water to be used for this test shall be fresh one. 5. Blending Ratio of Waterproof Agent The blending ratio of the waterproof agent to cement or mixed water shall be same as that for the practical use and, at the same time, as that specified by the manufacturer. 6. Settin

11、cz Test The setting test shall be made by the method specified in 7. of JIS R 5201. 7. Soundness Test The soundness test shall be made by the method specified in 8. of JIS R 5201 to examine the crack and warpage due to contraction and expansion. 8. Strength Test 8.1 The strength test shall be made f

12、or mortar which shall have been pre- pared by blending the cement used for the test specified in 2. and the sand used for the test specified in 3. at the ratio of 1: 3 by mass. However, the standard amount of water shall be 160 5 2 in flow test for the specimen with the waterproof agent added and th

14、0bb7 3 M I 3 A 1404-1977 8.2 The preparation of test specimens and the test for them shall be made in accordance with 9. in JIS R 5201. The test specimens with the waterproof agent added and without waterproof agent shall count 3 respectively, and each average shall be obtained from the three test r

15、esults. The test specimens shall be taken out of the formwork 48 h later after forming, thereafter cured in a moist closet kept at a temperature of 20 rt 3OC and humidity of 80 % or more for 19 days, and further kept in a room of normal temperature for 7 days. Thereafter they shall be furnished to t

16、he strength test. dividing the value obtained from the test specimen with waterproof agent added by the value obtained from the test specimen without addition of waterproof agent. The test result shall be expressed in percentage which is obtained by 9. Water Absorption Test 9.1 Use the test specimen

17、s same as those specified in 8.2, take them out of the formwork 48 h later after forming, and thereafter cure them in a moist closet kept at a temperature of 20 k 3OC and humidity more than 80 % for 19 days 9.2 Make the water absorption test for three test specimens with waterproof agent added and a

18、lso for three test specimens without waterproof agent, and obtain each average of three test results. Express the amount and the per- centage of water absorption which are obtained by l h immersion, 5 h immersion and 24 h immersion respectively. 9.3 The test shall be made as follows: Dry the test sp

19、ecimens having been made in accordance with 9.1 at a temperature of approx. 80% to obtain a con- stant mass , and take it as the dry mass (l). Next , as shown in Figure below, immerse the lower 2 c m portion of the test specimen in water with its filled face facing upwards while keeping it in a ther

20、mostatic chamber kept at a tem- perature of 20 ? 3OC and humidity over 80 %. After a lapse of 1 h, 5 h and 24 h, take the specimen out of the water, rapidly wipe off the water of immersed portion, immediately weigh them , and take the mass at that time as the mass (l) at the time of water absorption

Water Permeability Test 10.1 Use three test specimens with the waterproof agent added and also three test specimens without wat

24、erproof agent, and express the test results of each group in an average. 10.2 The formwork to be used for the test shall be a metallic one measuring 15 c m in inside diameter and 4 c m in inside height. Its inside face shall be finished smooth. 10.3 The mixing, water amount and making of the mortar

25、for the test shall be same as those specified in 8. 10.4 For forming, pack the mortar in the similar way to 9.7 (Packing Method) in JIS R 5201. In this test, each layer shall be beated with a tamping rod approx. 80 times. Take the test specimens out of the formwork 48 h later after forming, and ther

26、eafter cure them in a moist closet kept at a temperature of 20 k 3OC and humidity over 80 % for 19 days. remove their skin by brushing lightly the central part of 5 c m diameter or over, dry them at approx. 8OoC temperature to obtain a constant mass, and then furnish them to the water permeability t
