Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the liquid-applied compounds for waterproofing membrane coating of roof (hereafter referr

5、ed to as “waterproofing compounds“) used mainly for the purpose of roof waterproofing of reinforced concrete buildings. Remarks 1. Classification The waterproofing compounds shall be classified as follows according to the principal raw materials and using po

8、sition. 2.1 Classification by principal raw materials Urethane rubber system: The waterproofing compound of urethane rubber system which is compounded with fillers and the like to the urethane rubber which comprises polyisocyanate, polyol, and crosslinking agent as principal raw material. According

9、to the performance, this is divided into Class 1 and Class 2. Acrylic rubber system: The waterproofing compound of acrylic rubber system which is compounded with fillers and the like to the acrylic rubber as the principal raw material. Chloroprene rubber system: The waterproofing compound of chlorop

10、rene rubber system which is compounded with fillers and the like to the chloroprene rubber as the principal raw material. Raw materials and manufacturing method 4.1 Raw materials The raw materials used for manufacturing waterproo

21、fing compounds shall be as follows: 4.1.1 Basic materials acrylic rubber, chloroprene rubber or rubber asphalt. The basic materials shall be urethane rubber ( l ) , Note (l) The case where the main agent and hardener react to become urethane rubber, or the case where the material of one compo- nent

22、type reacts with moisture in the air to become urethane rubber is included. For example, there are polyisocyanate or urethane prepolymer or mixture of both of them as the main agents and are combination of polyol and the like as hardener. 4.1.2 Mineral matter fillers carbon black, pulverized silica,

23、 etc. These shall be calcium carbonate, talc, clay, 4.1.3 Additives The additives shall be pigments, thickeners, crosslinking agents, antioxidants, surface-active agents, diluents, etc. 4.2 Manufacturing method The waterproofing compounds shall be manufac- tured by compounding the basic material, mi

24、neral mater fillers and additives, and by mixing and kneading uniformly. However, in the case of two component type waterproofing compound, it is manufactured by dividing the raw materials so that at the time of using the hardening begins by mixing. 5. Tests 5.1 General conditions of test test Diece

25、 and test, unless specially specified, shall be standard condition. The The environment conditions for preparation of stanaard condition means the 20C ciass 2, 65 % class 20 20 f 2C (65 f 20) % of JIS Z 8703. The materials, container, mould frame and substrate plate shall be left as they are under t

26、he standard condition for not less than 24 h before test. (1) Sample For the sample, mix the waterproofing compound thoroughly by stirring to make uniform in quality, and as required, add diluent solution(2) of the amount specified by manufacturer, and further mix uniformly. However, as to the sampl

27、e for measuring of solid content, the diluent solution shall not be added. Further, in the case of two-component type waterproofing compound, weigh so correctly as to obtain the mixing ratio specified by the manufac- turer and mix uniformly to take it as the sample. Note (2) In the case where the ra

28、nge is specified for additive amount of diluent solution, it shall be the middle value of the range. 30、d that the thickness of coating after drying becomes about 1 mm for urethane rubber system, acrylic rubber system and chloroprene rubber system and about 2 mm for rubber asphalt system. The preparing conditions for test 5 . 2 Conversion of value The conversion of the value obtained by the tester or

31、measuring instrument with the scale of traditional unit to the value based on the International Unit System (SI) shall be in accordance with the following rate: 1 kgf = 9.80 N 5 . 3 Preparing method of test piece 5.3.1 Preparing of test piece (1) In preparing of test piece, fill or coat the sample u

32、niformly in the mould frame (3) as shown in Fig. 1 paying attention not to generate bubble. Thereafter form the film according to the curing condition of Table 2 . Take the test piece from this coating film. Further, after demoulding, cure with the coating film turned over. Note (9 The mould frame s

Measurement of thickness of test piece and bench mark 5.4 Tensile performance 5.4.1 Testing machine The testing machine shall be as follows: (1) Tensile testing mac

44、hine The tensile testing machine shall have such a range that the maximum load at the test becomes 15 % to 85 % of its capacity, and be provided with an automatic recording apparatus for load and displacement as well as thermostatic tank capable of regulating at a definite temperature (-20 f 2OC, 20

45、 k 2C and 60 I 2C). It shall be able to regulate the tensile speed at 500 mdmin or 200 mdmin, and able to pull by 8 times or more the gauge length of test piece. 5.4.2 Test method the standard condition for not less than 1 h, mount the test piece to a tensile testing machine specified in 5.4.1 (1) s

46、o as the distance between the grips to become 60 mm, and pull until the test piece breaks at a tensile speed of 500 m d min for urethane rubber system, chloroprene rubber system and rubber asphalt system, and of 200 mdmin for acrylic rubber system. As to the test method, after placing the test piece
