This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the height gauges of 1000 mm or under in maximum measuring length, among the general height gauges for measuring height dimensions by 0.05 mm, 0.02 mm or 0.01 mm in scale interval) minimum indication amount or minimum read

The types of the reading mechanisms of the height gauges shall con- sist of four types of readings by the main scale and the vernier scale, by the main scale

18、, the dial scale and the pointer, by the counter, and by the electronics digital indication, and there are those having and not having sensitive feed respectively. Flatness for reference surface of base The flatness tolerance for reference 6.3 of pillar respect to reference end face of pillar of the height gauge shall be in accordance with the following formula:

22、Perpendicularity for reference surface of base in respect to reference end face The perpendicularity tolerances for the reference surface of base in (0.01 + &) mm where, L is the numerical value expressing the measuring length (unit: mm). 6.4 Parallelism for reference surface of base to measuring su

23、rface of scriber The parallelism tolerance for the reference surface of base to measuring surface of scriber of the height gauge shall be 0.01 mm. 7. Graduation 7.1 Graduating method accordance with the graduating method of vernier in Table 2, and with the graduat- ing method of dial in Table 3. The

35、 scriber 10. gauge shall be in accordance with the following: Construction and functions The construction and functions of the height 0 Class D No. 1 to No. 3 specified in JIS H 5501 SK 2 to SK 6 specified in JIS G 4401 (6) (7) 11. The surface roughness of reference surface of base and the measuring

36、 surface of scriber shall be 0.4 a. When to fix the slider by the locking screw or the like, the movement of scriber tip-end shall be not impedimenta1 in practical use. The slider shall operate smoothly and without loosening over the whole range of operation, and be free from harmful play. For that

37、of which main scale can be moved, the travelling of the main scale shall be smooth, as well as it shall be locked to the pillar securely by the lock- ing screw when it is used. The slider and sensitive feed shall be capable of being locked to the pillar securely by fixing devices (locking screw and

38、the like). The indication value of counter shall be capable of being adjusted securely. That of electronics type digital indication, when the slider has been moved at a speed exceeding the permissible value, and when an erroneous indication is indicated due to the voltage drop, shall have the functi

39、on to clearly indicate that the values are wrong. For that of electronics type digital indication, when it has the function to out- put the indication values as the measured data, the treatment system of its datum output shall be described in detail in the instruction manual or the like. Materials a

40、nd hardnesses 11.1 The materials of the principal parts of the height gauge shall be those given in Table 6, or those equal to or superior to these in mechanical proper- ties. Materials Table 6. 44、the meas- uring surface of scriber of the height gauge on the gauge block or the equal to or superior to this being placed on the precision surface plate, and obtain by subtracting the dimension of gauge from the reading of the height gauge. Put the height gauge on two pieces of gauge blocks equal i

45、n nominal dimension being fixed on a precision surface plate or on the gauges equal to or superior to that, measure by applying the measuring point of lever type dial gauge or electrical micrometer being attached to the stand to the reference surface of base, and obtain the difference between the ma

46、ximum value and the minimum value acquired. Attach two pieces of 0.01 mm graduation dial gauges to strong stand so as to contact the pillar of height gauge at upper and lower ends, and measure on the precision surface plate to compare with a square. Put the reference surface of base of height gauge

47、on the precision surface plate in close contact, measure by applying the measuring point of lever type dial gauge or electrical micrometer attached to the stand to the measuring surface of scriber, and obtain the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value acquired.
