11、EC 60249-2-10 Base materials for printed circuits-Part 2 : Specifi- cations-Specification No. 1 O : Epoxide non-woven I woven glass reinforced copper-clad laminated sheet of defined flammability (vertical burning test) published in 1987 without modifying the technical contents. However, a partial mo

12、dification has been given according to the actual condition in Japan and, in addition, the amendment to the said International Standard has been integrated into the text. Portions underlined with dots are the matters not stated in the original Interna- tional Standard. The IEC Standard number is bas

13、ed on the new numbering system of IEC Stan- dards put in force on January 1st 1997, and the Standard published before the said date is numbered by adding 60000 to the former number. This is only the change in the numbering system and the contents remain unchanged. 1 Scope This specification gives re

14、quirements for properties of epoxide non-woven/ woven glass reinforced copper-clad laminated sheet of defined flammability (vertical fire resistance), in thicknesses of 0.7 mm up to 3.2 mm (hereafter referred to as “copper- clad laminated sheet”). Remarks 1 To designate this material, the reference:

15、 60249-2-1 O-FVO-IEC-EP- GF+GC-Cu may be used; if there is no risk of confusion, the type designation may be abbreviated to read IEC-60249-2-10-FVO. 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is given below. 20、s for electrical materials, interconnection struc- tures and assemblies-Part 2 : Test methods for materials for interconnection structures 3 Materials and construction The sheet consists of an insulating base with metal foil bonded to one or both sides. 3.1 Insulating base Epoxide resin bonded compo

21、site laminate consisting of a non- woven glass-fibre (glass fibre paper or glass felt) core and glass cloth surface layers. Its flame resistance is defined in terms of the flammability requirements of Sub- clause 7 . 3 . 3.2 Metal foil Copper as specified in JIS C 6515. The preferred foils are Type

22、E (electro-deposited copper) of standard ductility. 4 Internal marking Each sheet should bear a manufacturers identification mark that is: a) b) in red, to indicate that the material is of defined flammability; repeated at intervals so that no part of the sheet is further than 75 mm from the furthes

23、t point of the nearest mark; as shown in Examples below, printed so as to indicate the machine direction of the filling material; if letters or numbers are used, these shall be upright in the machine direction. 30、n-electrical properties of the copper-clad sheet 6.1 Appearance of the copper-clad face 6.1.1 Normal surface finish The copper-clad face shall be substantially free from blisters, wrinkles, pinholes, deep scratches, pits and resin that are detrimental to use. Any discoloration or contamination shall

31、 be readily removable with a hydro- chloric acid solution of density 1.02 gkm3 (4 . wt%) or with a suitable organic solvent. 6.1.2 High-quality surface finish (optional) If a surface of high quality is es- sential for precious metal plating or fine line etching and is ordered by the purchaser, the f

32、ollowing requirements shall apply in addition to those of subclause 6.1.1 when inspected in accordance with subclause 3.9 of IEC 60249-1. 34、e from scratches of depth greater than 0.010 mm, or 1/5 of the nominal thickness of the copper foil, whichever is the lower. The total length of scratches of depth greater than 0.005 mm but not greater than 0.010 mm shall not exceed 1 m per square metre of the total area of the sheet under test. Thi

35、s requirement applies to the surface of 35 pm and 70 pm (305 g/m2 and 610 g/m2) foils. Permitted scratches on surfaces of 18 pm (152 g/m2) foil are still under consideration. The total area of all pinholes in an area of 0.5 m 2 shall not exceed 0.012 mm2. No sheet shall have more imperfections of th

36、e types listed than those permitted by the following Table 2. At least 90 % of the area, regardless of size, shall be within the tolerances given, and at no point shall the thickness vary from the nominal by a value greater than 125 % of the specified tolerance. For any nominal thickness within the range of nominal thickness 0.7 mm to 3.2

43、 mm, which is not given in Table 3 of nominal thicknesses and corresponding tolerances, the tolerance applicable to the thickness shall be that for the next greater nominal thickness given in Table 3.
