2、 on the original Japanese Industrial Standard established by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee as the result of proposal of establishing a Japanese Industrial Standard from The Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), with

3、 a draft being attached, based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law. Consequently JIS G 3508:1991 is replaced with this Standard. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a patent

4、 after opening to the public, utility model right or application for registration of utility model after opening to the public which have technical properties. The relevant Minister and the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee are not responsible for identifying the patent right, application for

This Standard has been made based on IS0 4954:1993 Steels for cold heading and cold extruding for the purposes of making it

6、 easier to compare this Standard with International Standard; to prepare Japanese Industrial Standard conforming with International Standard; and to propose a draft of an International Standard which is based on Japanese Industrial Standard. 13、 Symbol of steel grade Symbol of steel grade Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard has been prepared based on the second edition of IS0 4954 Steels for cold heading and cold extruding published in 1993 with some modifications of the technical contents. Portions given sidelines or dotted und

14、erlines are the matters in which the contents of the original International Standard have been modified. A list of modifications with the explanations is given in annex 3 (informative). Symbol of steel grade 1 This part of JIS G 3508 specifies the boron steel wire rods (hereafter referred to as the

15、“wire rods”) to be used mainly for manufacture of the boron steel wires for cold heading.
