6、2321-1970 1. cope This standard provides for ships small size steel hatch covers used for hold hatchway, provision hatchway and the like. 2. Classification The hatch covers shall be classified into two types of weather-tight (symbol W) and non-watertight (symbol NW). 3. Construction, Shape and Dimen
7、sions The construction, shape and dimensions shall be as given in Table 1 and Figs. 1 to 2 and conform to the following requirements: (1) (2) (3) Hinges and lock hanger shall conform to JI F 2322. Butterfly nuts shall conform to JIS F 2312. When the hinge of type B or D being fitted to the hatch cov
8、er, any cover stopper may be used if necessary. Designation The srnall size steel hatch covers shall be designated by title, ty-
15、pe, nominal number and fitted side of hinge. (In the case of rectangular cover, when hinge fitted to longer side symbol is L to shorter side is S, and for square cover no symbol is used.) This number may be used in place of the title. Examples 1. In the case of square cover Ships Small Size Steel Ha
