8、m3,) Absorber method 0.4 to 50 JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD JIS K 0085 : 1998 Methods for determination of bromine in flue gas 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the methods for determination of total bromine in gas state inorganic bromides such as bromine, hydrogen bromide, etc. in
9、 flue gas. Remarks 1 In this Standard, flue gas means ones which are generated by being ac- companied with combustion, chemical reaction, etc. and exhausted out to flue, chimney or duct (hereafter referred to as “duct”). 2 The normative references to this Standard are shown in Attached Ta- ble l. 2
10、Common items The common items such as methods of chemical analysis, sampling methods of flue gas and molecular absorptiometric analysis shall be in accordance with JIS K 0050, JIS K 0095 and JIS K 0115 respectively. 3 and summary shall be shown in Table 1. The excess hypochlorite is reduced by sodium formate, and this bromic acid ion is determined by thiosulfate titrimetric method. After absorbing bromine com- pound in the exhaust gas into sodium
13、 hydroxide absorbent, making acidic and oxidizing with potassium permanganate solution, and extract the oxi- dized ion into carbon tetrachlo- ride. 17、re the typical gas is collected, for example the point of homogeneous flow rate of gas. 4 . 1 Reagents and preparation of reagent solution 4 . 1 . 1 Reagent (1) Water Grade A2 specified in JIS K 0557. (2) Sodium hydroxide Specified in JIS K 8576. 4 . 1 . 2 Preparation of reagent solution (1) Absorbe
18、nt solution Solution dissolved 0.4 g of sodium hydroxide in water and di- luted to 100 ml. 4.2 Device and apparatus (1) Absorption bottle Bottle which has 100 ml of volume and is shown in Fig. 1 as an example shall be used. (2) Sampling apparatus The apparatus shall be constructed as shown in Fig. 2
19、 and provided with the following conditions. (2.1) The sampling tube (A) made of such material that it is not corroded by corrosive gas in flue gas, for example glass tube, quartz glass tube or tetra fluoride ethyle- ne resin tube shall be used= (2.2) In order to prevent against mixing-in of dust in
20、 flue gas, appropriate materials such as silica wool, alkali glass wool, etc. shall be put into the end part (B) of gas sampling tube (A) as a filter medium. (2.3) Fearing that moisture in flue gas might become condense, the sampling tube (A) and conducting tube (C) shall be heated at approx. 120 “c

(2.4) The piping of the sampling-tube (A) and conducting tube (C) shall be shortened as possible and able to wash the inside of them. 4 . 3 Procedure of gas sampling The sampling of gas shall be as follows. The symbols of the apparatus shown in the following sentences are according to ones in Fig.
