Scope This standard specifies silver ingot (hereinafter referred to as the “ingot“). 2. Class The ingot shall
9、be divided into two classes in Table in accordance with chemic al compo sition. 3. Quality 3. 1 The ingot shall be uniform in quality, smooth and stainless on surface and free from slag or other foreign substance contained. 3. 2 The chemical composition of the ingot shall comply with the following T
10、able: Remarks . Class 2 Remarks 1. Silver contents specified in Table shall be denoted by subtracting the sum total of impurities in Table from 100 and shall contain a micro-quantity of oxygen or such. 2. Wnen there is especially demanded by the purchaser, the analytical value for the impurities oth
11、er than specified in Table shall be reported also. 4. Test The chemical analysis shall comply with JIS II 1181-Methods for Chemical Analysis of Silver Ingot and JIS H 1183-Method for Spectro Chemical Analysis of Silver Ingot. 5. Inspection 5. 1 The ingot shall be subjected to the test in compliance
12、with 4 as well as inspected for the appearance and shall conform to the requirements specified in 3. 5. 2 Other general requirements shall comply with JIS H 0301-General Rules for Tests and Inspection for Base Metals.
