10、esent through the revision in 1991. In order to be reflected technical change and change of demands on and after the last revision, the standard comes to this revision. Though study is advanced in order to conform to International Standard, Interna- tional standard (IS0 683-13) as the object is deci

11、ded to be annulled at TC17/SC4 in June, 1996, and newly revised into two standards of flat product and long prod- uct, however, they are not yet agreed upon, Therefore, this revision is advanced considering that the object International Standard does not exist. Dimensional tolerances have preliminar

12、ily conformed to International standard (IS0 R 286, IS0 System of Limits and Fits). Principal revised points are as follows. a) Grades and symbols SUS303Cu and SUS316F are added to obtain 28 grades as total by request from domestic customers. b) Dimensional tolerances Tolerances on extraction of rou

13、nd bars are changed from classes 11 to 13 to clauses 9 to 11. Further, classes 14 to 18 are added to dimensional tolerances on flat bars. c) Item for report is newly established. 1 This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies cold finished stainless steel bars (round bars, square bars, hexagonal bars

14、, and flat bars, hereafter generically referred to as “bars”). Scope 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards indicated below shall be applied. JIS B

29、 4318 : 1998 Drawing Class 9 Class 10 Class 11 3 When specified by the purchaser, values shown as minus in the above table may be divided into plus and minus sided ones, as far as they are limited within the whole tolerance range. 4 The tolerances for bars heat treated and pickled after cold working

30、 shall be two times tolerances of the lower class given in Table 5. 5 14 classes to 18 classes of tolerances are not applied to 1 mm or under reference dimension. Solution treatment Pickling 8 Material For the material to be used for

36、bars, the grade given in Table 1 which conform to any one of JIS G 4303, steel strip in JIS G 4304, steel strip in JIS G 4305, and JIS G 4308 shall be used. S P 9 Manufacturing method Bars shall be manufactured from the material speci- fied in 8, by cold rolling, cold drawing, grinding, cutting, or

37、combination thereof, and if required, heat treatment, pickling, etc., may be applicable. Further, symbols expressing manufacturing methods such as final processing method, heat treatment and others shall be as given in Table 7. 39、piece, No. 14A test piece, and No. 14B test piece as specified in JIS Z 2201 shall be used. b) The test method shall be in accordance with JIS Z 2241. 10.2 Hardness test The hardness test shall be as follows: a) A part of a tensile test piece may be used as a hardness test piece. b) The test method

40、shall comply with any one of JIS Z 2243, JIS Z 2244, or JIS Z 2245. However, the measuring point of hardness shall be agreed upon be- tween the parties concerned with delivery. 42、l be agreed upon between the parties concerned with delivery. However, a part or all of the tensile test and the hardness test may be omitted as agreed upon between the parties concerned with delivery. c) The dimensions shall conform to the requirements specified in 6. d) The appearance shall confor

43、m to the requirements specified in 7. 12 Marking Bars having passed the inspection shall be legibly marked on each bundle or each package with the following items. However, a part of the items may be omitted as agreed upon between the parties concerned with delivery. a) Symbol of grade b) Dimensions

44、 C) Symbol for class of tolerance() d) Number of pieces or mass e) Symbol expressing manufacturing method f) Manufacturers name or its abbreviation g) Ladle number or inspection number Note (l) The symbol for class of tolerance shall be suffixed to the dimensions. 13 Report When requested by the pur

45、chaser, the manufacturer shall submit the results of specified tests, and as occasion demands, quantity, delivery state, etc., are stated.
