4、ovision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 14. 9、1972 for the purpose of improving the quality of plastics erasers and protecting the users. The revision on this occasion has been to review the composition of the standard in the wake of the revision of JIS Z 8301 Rules for the drafting and presentation of Japanese Industrial Standards and to make
10、overall review as to whether the con- tents of the standard fit the current circumstances. Performance Test methods 1 Scope This Standard specifies the plastics erasers used for erasing the descrip- tions given by using pencil (1) and mechanical pencil(1) (hereafter referred to as ?eraser?). Note (1
11、) These are the leads for pencils specified in JIS S 6006, the leads for mechanical pencils specified in JIS S 6005 or those equivalent or supe- rior thereto. Item 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of th

20、ig. 3, make the test sample touch the coloured paper verti- cally to the coloured paper and at right angle to the coloured line, put a weight on the test sample in such a way that the total weight of the weight and holder becomes 0.5 kg and rub out the coloured portion by four times of reciprocal mo
21、tion at a speed of 150 t 10 cdmin. In this case, the rubbed portion may be swept over lightly with a brush. 23、perior thereto in performance, make the concentration of the uncoloured part of the coloured paper O and measure the concentration of the coloured part and the rubbed-out part. 2) Calculation of letter erasing percentage calculated by the following formula: The letter erasing percentage is E= 1- x10
24、0 ( 3 where, E : letter erasing M : concentration C : concentration percentage (%); of rubbed-out part; of coloured part. Harmful substances The harmful substance test is as follows: cut the test sample to pieces of 6 mm or smaller; take at least 1 g of the cut test sample and measure the mass accur
25、ately to the nearest 0.1 mg; using a container of appropriate capacity(6), mix the test sample with 0.07 mom hydrochloric acid(7) solution (37 3.2 OC) the mass of which is 50 times that of the test sample and shake to mix them for 1 min; Notes (6) A container of total capacity 1.6 to 5.0 times the h
26、ydrochloric acid extract. (7) Prepare using the hydrochloric acid specified in JIS K 8180. measure the acidity of the mixed liquid using a pH meter(*) and, if pH is not less than 1.5, drop 2 mol/l hydrochloric acid(7) solution until pH comes to 1.0 to 1.5 shaking and mixing; Note (8) pH meter having
27、 a precision of t0.2 pH unit shall be used. 29、 0116 using atomic absorption method or inductively coupled plasma emission analysis; When filtering, use a membrane filter of 0.45 pm pore size and, if necessary, separate centrifugally the solid at 49 km/s2 or under; the results of analysis are corrected, using the correction values given in Table
