9、 on the International Stan- dards shown in Remarks specifies, in the body, the round nose pliers of the classi- fication and grades which were specified in the conventional Japanese Industrial Standard and their shape, dimension, quality, inspection, designation and marking and, in the Annex, the it

13、air works of electric communication apparatus, radio and television sets and other devices. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. 17、sions Unit: mm 14 2.2 11 52 155 4 Quality 4.1 Appearance The round nose plier shall be free from cracks, detrimental flaws, burrs, rust and other defects likely to impair the use, and be well finished. 4.2 Function 4.2.1 Joint The sliding contact surfaces of the joint shall have little clearance and
18、 be opened and closed smoothly. The inside surfaces of the tip part shall be capable of being brought into close contact for a length of about 5 mm from the tip. 4.3 Mechanical properties 4.3.1 Deformation When the handle is subjected in the widest part to the torque specified in Table 2, with an ir

Note (I) The
21、permanent strain shall be obtained from the difference be- tween the readings of dimensions before applying the load and after removing the load, at the position where the load is applied. 22、ose plier shall be HRC 40 to HRC 50. 5 Materials The round nose plier shall be made of SK 7 specified in JIS G 4401, S15CK specified in JIS G 4051 or materials having the quality at least equivalent to those specified in 4. 6 Inspections The inspection on the round nose pliers shall be as follows :
23、a) Inspection on shape and dimensions The shape and dimensions of the round nose plier shall be inspected by means of rules, verniers or the like and the result shall conform to the requirements in 3. b) Appearance inspection The appearance inspection of the round nose plier shall be conducted visua
24、lly, and the result shall conform to the requirement specified in 4.1. c) Joint inspection The joint of the round nose plier shall be inspected by means of proper apparatus or by feeling, and the result shall conform to the requirement specified in 4.2.1. d) Deformation inspection The deformation in
25、spection of the round nose plier shall be conducted so as to conform to the requirement specified in 4.3.1. e) Hardness inspection The hardness of the round nose plier shall be inspected in accordance with JIS Z 2245 and conform to the requirement specified in 4.3.2. 7 Designation The round nose pli
26、ers shall be designated by JIS number or name, and nominal dimension. This annex applies neither to insulated tools for live inter- vention works nor to antistatic tools. Plastic coatings or plastic sleeves are in- ten
29、ded for gripping comfort only. 2 Dimensions and quality 2.1 Dimensions Dimensions shall be as specified in Annex 1-1. 2.2 Quality Quality shall be as specified in Annex 1-1. 2.3 Technical requirements Technical requirements shall be as specified in An- nex 1-2. 3 Methods of test Methods of test shal

40、 type round nose pliers 1 Scope This Annex specifies the general technical requirements for I type round nose pliers. 2 Handles Handles shall be shaped to afford a comfortable grip and shall pre- vent accidental pinching of the hands. Handles shall have one of the following finishes : 2.1 smooth fin
41、ished ; 2.2 black oxide finished ; 2.3 phosphate-coated ; 2.4 lacquered ; 2.5 electro-plated ; 2.6 plastic-coated or with plastic sleeves ; 2.7 Knurled. 3 Heads 3.1 Joint The joint shall be constructed to allow free movement from the closed to the open positions and shall be free from excessive side
42、 movement in any position that could impair the function of the round nose plier. 3 . 2 Jaws For all pliers the jaws shall meet at the point, provided that the round nose pliers specified otherwise in the dimensions are omitted. 4 Appearance and finish The round nose pliers shall be free from burrs,
43、 scale and non-functional sharp edges, and shall have a protective surface treatment to ensure that they reach the user in good condition. The protective surface treatment should be carried out at the manufacturers discretion. Typical surface finishes or surface treatments are as follows : 4.1 chemi
44、cally produced oxide coating ; 4.2 chemically produced phosphate coating ; 4.3 polished ; 4.4 electrodeposited metallic coating ; 4.5 lacquered. The test shall be carried out using suitable equipment which can be 2.2 Methods of test For the size of round nose plier, define a point for applica- tion of the load on the handles at the distance L1 from the center of the joint rivet, and insert a suitable test piece into the ja
47、ws (see 2 . 3 ) . Apply a load of 50 N and measure the width, W1, of the handles. Increase the load F to the specific value and then reduce it to 50 N. The load F shall be applied four times and then the width, W2, of the handles shall again be measured at the same distance L1. The difference between the first and second readings (Wl - Wz) shall not exceed the maximum value, S, of the permanent deformation.
