3、r of Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, as the result of proposal for revision of Japanese Industrial Standard submitted by Japan Office & Institutional Furniture Association (JOIFA)/Japanese Standards Association (JSA) with the draft be
4、ing attached? based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 14. Consequently JIS S 1032 : 1999 is replaced with this Standard. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard m

Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the chairs for offices (here- Remarks : The said chairs mean those manufactured by consisting of the com

The jointing part shall be solidly combined by welding, joint, connect
37、ion. The adhered part shall be adequately adhered so as not to be separated. When fabricated by using screws and other metal fittings, it shall be constructed so that the looseness does not appear at jointing part. The operation part, if exists, shall be easily handled and excellent in durabil- ity.
38、 The rotation part or reclining mechanism, if exists, shall be solidly equipped, operate smoothly and not generate remarkable noise when used. The removable parts and members shall be constructed so as to be fixed surely. The fixed castors shall be strong, free from looseness and falling-out and abl
39、e to operate smoothly. Unless especially specified, these shall be in accordance with clause 3
48、of JIS S 1017. 10 Test 10.1 Stability test The stability test shall be the test carried out to confirm the performance of resisting the force to overturn the chair. Provided that this test shall be applied to only a non-revolving chair. a) Forward stability and armless chair sideward stability test The forward stability and armless chair sideward stability test shall comply with 7.1.1 of JIS S 1204 and the existence of overturn is examined by adding horizontally force of 20 N.
