Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies high speed steel tool bits, hereinafter referred to as the“
5、bits“, used mainly for cutting of metals. 2. Defintiions For the purposes of this Standard, the definitions given in JIS B 0107 apply 3 Classification The bits shall be classified according to the shape of cross section into 5 type as shown in Table 1. Quality 5.1 Appearance The appearance of bits shall be free from inherent flaws and cracks detrimental burrs flaws rust, and other defects, and shall have a good finish. 5.2 Surface Roughness The surface roughness of bits shall conform to (Ib
17、 1.6 a (6.3 S) specified in JIS B 0601 excluding the end face when tested in accordance with 7.1. 5.3 Hardness The hardness of bits shall be at least equal to the values in Table 7 when tested in accordance with 7.2. Testing Method O
22、 7.1 Surface Roughness The surface roughness of bits shall be determined by visual collation with the standard roughness comparison specimen specified in JIS B 0659. 7.2 Hardness The hardness of bits shall be measured in the centre and both ends of the bit in accordance with the testing method speci
23、fied in JIS Z 2245, using the testing machine specified in JIS B 7726. 7.3 Dimensions, Angle, Bend, and Squareness The dimensions, angle, bend, and squareness of bits shall be measured in accordance with Table 10. 31、 8, Inspection surface roughness, hardness, bend, squareness , and cutting ability, and Inspection shall be carried out on the shape and dimensions, appearance, s the results shall conform to the requirements of 4., 5.l.to 5.6, respectively. 9. Designation of Products The bits shall be designated by
32、 the JIS number or title of JIS , type, -. normal size, and material, or designation of products, i.ts nominal size and material. Examples: JIS B 4151 Type 1 12 x 100 SKH 57 Ground high speed Type 1 12 x 100 SKH 57 steel tool bits Round bits 10 x 100 SKH 57 10. Marking 10.1 Marking on Product The bi
33、ts shall be marked, as a rule, with the following perticulars written laterally in the position indicated with % in the Figure. Example (1) Nominal size: 10 x 16 x 160 (2).
