Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the metallic control cable system units for body-powered upper extremity prosthesis (hereafter re- ferred to as the “cable system“). Remarks 1. The cited standard in t

5、his Standard is as follows: JIS G 4308 Stainless steel wire rods The units and numerical values given in in this Standard are based on the traditional units, and are appended for informative reference. 2. 2. When a cable itself is curved at the radius of curvature of 25 mm, wires of the cable shall not be broken. When a cable housing is curved at t

7、he radius of curvature of 25 mm, the coil shall not be deformed. Fittings of cable with cable hanger, ball terminal, rotating terminal and ball receiver, shall be so shaped appropriately as not to be too loose. Fittings of cable housing with floating anchor and cable housing with re- tainer, shall b

8、e so adjusted as not to move the cable during use. Fittings of base plate with retainer shall be so adjusted as not to come off during use. 17、. An example of equipment is shown in Fig. 2. Use repeating test equipment which simulates the scene The test shall be made as follows: Use a single control cable system as a sample, and assemble it so that the length from the lower edge of cable hanger to the lower edge of rotating terminal is 600

18、mm. Fix the main end of cable to the clamp pulley of the test equipment. Fix the rotating terminal of cable end to the tensile coil spring of spring constant of 2 N/mm (0.2 kgf/mm), by means of the cable hanger. The repetition cycle shall be 1.5 sec to 2.5 sec (0.40 Hz to 0.67 Hz). Every 10000 cycle

19、s, retainer shall be oiled. The number of repetitions shall be 100,000. Before the test, measure the length of cable and cable housing, and calculate the elongation ratio.
