8、f numbers) without changing the technical contents. The portions underlined with dots in this Standard are the matters not included in the corresponding International Standard. 1 Scope This Standard specifies the rounding of numbers by decimal system used in manufacturing and mineral industries. Rem

9、arks : The following standard is the corresponding International Standard to this Standard: IS0 31-0 : 1992 Quantities and units-Part O : General principles, Annex B (Informative) (Guide to the rounding of num- bers) 2 Rounding of numbers a) Rounding means replacing the magnitude of a given number b

10、y another num- ber called the rounded number, selected from the sequence of integral multiples of a chosen rounding interval. Example 1 rounding interval: 0.1 integral multiples: 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, - Example 2 rounding interval: 10 integral multiples: 1210, 1220, 1230, 1240, -s. b) If there is

Example : 12.251 should be rounded to 12.3 and not first to 12.25 and then to 12.2. e) The rule A and rule B should be used only if no spe

18、cial criteria for the selection of the rounded number have to be taken into account.
