Scope This Japanese In

3、dustrial Standard specifies coded character sets to be used for information interchange among information processing systems and data transmission systems. 2. Definitions For the purpose of this standard the following principal definitions shall apply. information interchange another so that the inf

Code - 3.1 Number of Bits for the Codes The numbers of bits for the codes to be provided in this standard shall be 7 bits and 8 bits. 3.2 7-Bit Code The 7-bit codes provided in this standard shall consist of the 7-Bit Alph

9、anumeric Code, the 7-Bit Katakana Code and the 7-Bit Alpha- numeric-Katakana Code or in combination. 3.2.1 Structure of 7-Bit Code The structure of the 7-bit code shall be as shown in Fig. 1 and consists of the following areas: (1) The area for 32 control characters allocated to columns O and 1. (2)

10、 The space character (SP) in position 2/0 (). (3) The area for 94 graphic characters allocated to columns 2 to 7 (excluding positions 2/0 and 7/15). (4) The delete character (DEL) in position 7/15. Note ( ) For positions on the code table, see 6. Fig. 1. Structure of 7-Bit Code Remark: The bl to b7

12、as shown in Table 2. 3.2.4 Graphic Character Set for Katakana The graphic character set for Katakana shall be as shown in Table 3. 3.2.5 ?-Bit Alphanumeric Code The 7 Bit Alphanumeric Code shall be This Alphanumeric Code is made by allocating Table 1 as shown in Table 4. for 32 control characters an

This Katakana Code is made by allocating Table.1 for 32 control characters and Table 3 for 94 graphic characters to Fig. 1. 3.2.7 7-Bit Alphanumeric-Katakana Code The 7- Bit

14、 Alphanumeric-Katakanu Code uses the graphic character set for alphanumeric (Table 2) and the graphic character set for Katakana (Table 3) , in combination, by utilizing SO in position A/14 and SI in position A/15 on Table 1, alternately. This code is made by allocating the following character sets

15、to Fig. 1: (1) Table 1 for 32 control characters in columns O and 1. (2) Either of the following tables for 94 graphic characters in columns 2 to 7. (a) Table 2 for graphic characters preceded by SI until the following - SO occurs. (b) Table 3 for graphic characters preceded by SO until the followin

17、he procedure of (i), by reading all “the row 10“ in the descrip tion of (1) as each of the rows 11 to 15 of Table 4 successively, to allocate characters to row 11 to 15 of Reference Table. (3) If characters of Table 4 remained after the above procedures taken, arrange them in the order of column num

18、bers O, 1 to 7 and in the sequence of row numbers O, 1 to 15 within the same column number, and insert them, in the order so determined , into unfilled positions of rows 10 to 15 of Reference Table. (4) Then, repeat the procedures of ( 1) to (3) for the characters selected from Table 5. In this case

19、, the following shall be considered: (a) “Table 4“ in the procedures of ( i) to (3) shall be read “Table 5“. (b) The priority order of columns defined in ( 1) shall be read 3, 4, 5, 2. (C) If characters in Table 4 have been already allocated in the positions to be allocated by the procedure of (i),
