MIL-STD-2120 27August1984 FOREWORD 1.Thisstandardestablishesthe requirementsfor an electromagnetic interference(EMI) filtercontactconnector (hereinafter referredto as F

4、CC). Oncedetermined,the requirementsshouldbe incorporatedinto a specification sheetunderthe generalconnectorspecificationcoveringits matingconnector. 2.An EMI FCCshallbe a connectorcontainingsome filterand ground contactsterminatedwithacrimpremovablesocketcontactper MIL-C-39029, a .025 inchsquaresol

5、derlesswrappostper MIL-sTD-1130,or a solder termination. Specificcontactsshall be specifiedon theindividualspecificationsheets. 3.Ihlessotherwisespecifiedon theindividualspecificationsheet, the groundcontactshall be terminatedto a non-removableground plane withinthe FCC bodywhichis connectedto the F

18、nnector(FCC).Anelectromagneticinterference(EMI)filter contactconnectorisaconnectorcontainingsomefilterandgroundcontacts terminatedwitha crimpremovablesocketcontactper$IIL-C-39029,a.025inch (0.64mm)squaresolderlesswrappostperMIL-STO-1130,oraSoldertermination. Specificcontactsshallbespecifiedontheindi

19、vidualFCCspecificationsheets. 3.2Groundcontact.Unlessotherwisespecifiedintheindividualspecification sheet,thegroundcontactshallbeterminatedtoanonremovablegroundplanewithin theFCCbodywhichisconnectedtotheFCCshell. I1 MIL-STD-2120 27August 1984 4.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. 4.1Specification sheets.The indiv

20、idual item requirements shall be as specified herein, in the general connector specif” lcation, and in accordance with the applicable specification sheets. 4.2Filter contact.A FCC shall contain filter contacts of no more than three frequency bands (see + table 11 In any one nsert arrangement.One fre

21、quency range band is preferred. 4.3Ground contact.The ground contact shall be terminated to a nonremovable ground plane within the FCC thak is permanently connected to the connector shell. 4.4Temperature range.The FCC shall have an operating temperature range of -55C to +125C and a nonoperating temp

22、erature range of -65C to +125C. 4.5Intermateability.The FCC shall mate with the applicable connector and shall conform to the intermateability dimension specified in the general connector specification. 4.6Mountinq.Mounting dimensions shall be specified in the FCC specification sheet. 4.7Contact loc

23、ation.The size and location of each filter and ground contact shall be specified in the FCC speciffcation sheet. 4.8Mating connector.The FCC specification sheets shall specify the matfng connector by part number. 4.9Environmental requirements.Unless otherwise specified in the FCC specification sheet

24、, the FCC shall meet the environmental requirements of the general connector specification. 4.10Connector ffnfsh.The FCC shall have the same conductive finfsh and meet the same conductive finish requirements of ts mating connector. 4.11FCC fvequency range band.The FCC specification sheets shall spec

25、ffy one and not more than three frequency bands specified fn table I for its filter contacts. 30、lbeInaccordancewiththerequirementsofthegeneralconnectorspecification exceptasmodifiedorexpandedherein. 5.1.1Qualificationandretentionofqualification.Qualificationandretention ofqualificationtestsshallincludethoserequired bythegeneralconnector specificationandthefollowingadditionaltests: a.Initialatt

31、enuationatambienttemperature(sweptfrequency)(5.2.6.1). b.Attenuationwithfeed-throughcontactcurrent(5.2.6.2). c.Attenuationattemperatureextremes(5.2.6.3). d.Capacitance,insulationresistanceanddielectricwithstandingvoltage aftertemperaturecyclfng. e.Capacitance,insulationresistanceanddielectricwithsta

Testmethodsshallbeinaccordancewith thegeneralconnectorspecificationexceptasmodifiedherei

35、n. 5.2.1Dielectricwithstandingvoltage. Thedielectricwithstandingvoltage,when testedinaccordancewiththegeneralconnectorspecfficatfon,shallbe500Vdc. Thedielectricwithstandingvoltagetestshouldbeusedwithcautionparticularlyin inplantqualityconformancetesting, asevenanoverpotentiallessthanthebreakdown vol

36、tagemayfnjuretheinsulationandtherebyreduceitssafetyfactor. Therefore, repeatedapplicationofthetestvoltageonthesamespecimenisnotrecommended.In caseswhensubsequentapplicationofthetestvoltageisspecifiedinthetest routine,ftisrecommendedthatsucceedingtestsbemadeatreducedpotential. 5.2.2Insulationresistan

37、ce.Insulationresistancebetweenanypairofcontacts andbetweenanycontactandshell,whentestedasspecifiedinthegeneralconnector specification,shallbe5$000megohmsminimum. 1/Maybetestedsimultaneously. !41L-STD-2120 27August 1984 5.2.3Thermalshock.Therequirementsofthegeneralconn$ctorspecfication shallapplyexce

38、ptthatthetemperatureextremesshallbe-65Cand125C. 5.2,4Altitude-lowtemperature(whereapp licable).Thelowtemperaturealtitude requirementsofthegeneralconnectorspecif ication shallapplyexceptthevoltage shallbeasspecifiedintheFCCspecificationsheet. 5.2.5Contactretention.Contactretentionshallbeperformedonal

39、lcontact typesasspecitiedInmethOd2007OfMIL-sTD-1344.Detailsandretentionvalues shallbespecffiedontheindividualspecificationsheets.Contactterminations utilizfngMIL-C-39029socketcontactsshallbecapableofbeinginstalledandremoved usingthetoolsspecifiedforthosecontacts. 5.2.6Attenuation.Whentestedasspecifi

40、edfn5.2.6.1atambienttemperature, 5.2.6.2withfee d-throughcontactcurrent, and5.2.6.3attemperatureextremes,the attenuationoffiltercontactsinconnectorsshallbenotlessthanthevaluesshown intableI oronfigure1. 5.2.61Attenuationatambienttemperature. FCCSshallbemeasuredfor attenuationusinga measurementsystem

41、shownonfigure2oracceptablesubstitutes approvedbythequalifyingactivity. Theattenuationofthesampleshallbecompared tothatofacalibratedattenuatorina50-ohmsystem. Unlessotherwisespecified, allfiltercontactsintheFCCshallbetested. Forqualificationtesting,initial andfinalattenuationshallbemeasuredonasweptfr

42、equencybasisacrossthe frequencyband(A,B,andsoforth).Forintermediatetestmeasurementsduring qualification,discretemeasurementsshallbemadeat10MHzorthelowesttest frequencyindicatedintableI and100MHz. Foracceptancetesting,discrete measurementsshallbemadeat100FIHz. Followingaretherequirementsforthe equipm

43、entusedinthecircuit: a.Sfgnalgenerator:Thesignalgeneratorwithanoutputimpedanceof50ohms shallbecapableofanadequate,stableoutputtoensureauseful indicationofthedetectorwithin5 percentoftheapplicablefrequencyat theapplicableattenuationlevel. b.Isolationpads:Theisolationpadsshallbe50-ohmcoaxialattenuator

44、sof 6to10decibels(dB)nominalattenuationwfthavoltagestandingwave ratio(VSWR)of1.3orlessattheapplicablefrequency. c*Calibratedattenuator:Thecalibratedattenuatorshallbea precision 50-ohmcoaxialattenuator,eitherfixedorvariable,withanaccuracyof *0.1dB/10dBattheapplicableattenuationlevelandfrequency. d.Te

45、stfixture:Thetestfixtureshallprovidegoodelectricalcontact betweenthesystemgroundandthefilterbodyandprovideadequate shielding.Thefixturemayincludea50-ohmresistorinserieswiththe filtercontact,providedattenuationlevelrequirementsareincreasedby6 d9.Thefixtureshallhavelessthan1.5VSWRat100MHzwitha50ohm lo
