4、nationals products and to define requirements and physical properties of the various materials used in the painting operation. 2.0 INTRODUCTION This specification is divided into eight parts as follows: Part I, Section A - Product Finishing Requirements Part V - Primers Part I, Section B - Paint Mat

8、 Corporation. 9.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 9.1 Supplier Requirements All suppliers to International Truck and Engine are required to be registered to QS-9000 Quality System Requirements. International will also accept ISO 9000 or TS-16949 registration as long as the supplier can also fulf
9、ill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain their certification with an accredited registrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to their International Corporate Buyer upon request. 9.2 Approval Parts supplied
10、 against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples that were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing pr
11、actices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering at TDTC and International Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, an
12、d new or amended or updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 9.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evi
13、dence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements o
14、n specific products. 10.0 DESIGNATION ON DRAWINGS AND PURCHASE ORDERS 10.1 Engineering Drawings Engineering generally specifies only the Class of Finish on its drawings. The finish classification describes the durability, corrosion resistance, and appearance requirements of the part or assembly. It
15、is the responsibility of the supplier or of Manufacturing to determine the need for primers and/or casting sealers in order to satisfy the specified finish requirements. 10.2 Purchase Orders Purchase orders should include the grade of the casting sealer and reference this specification: if necessary
16、 the color; by the International paint color number, may be included. When necessary the desired viscosity range should also be included on the purchase order. Example: 0001-52 FRP Primer, per CEMS G-5, Pt. V Viscosity 40-50 seconds 11.0 PACKING AND SHIPPING Packing, shipping and identification shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Standard D-13.
