3、ndustrial Standardization Law. Consequently JIS Z 3351 : 1988 is replaced with JIS Z 3351 : 1999. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a patent after opening to the public, utility model right or application for regi

9、rial Standard specifies the steel solid wires (here- after referred to as “wires“) used for submerged arc welding for carbon steel and low alloy steel (high tensile strength steel, heat resisting steel, steels for low tempera- ture service and atmospheric corrosion resistant steel). 2 Normative refe

10、rences The standards given in Attached Table 1 contain pro- visions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards shall be applied. 3 Classification Wires shall be classified according to chemical composition, as given in

14、7 and shall conform to Table 2. However, as required, com- ponents other than those shown in Table 2 may be added. 20、tes (1) In the case where copper plating is applied, the copper of coatings is included. (2) Concerning this component, when its content is clearly micro-amount, and in the case where it is foreseeable that the standard value of the above table is satisfied sufficiently, the analysis may be omitted.

21、 (3) In the case where it is added, the analysis test of the element shall be carried out. 5 Dimensions and tolerances The diameters and tolerances of wires shall be in accordance with clause 2 of JIS Z 3200. The representative diameters of wires are given in Table 3. Table 3 Representative diameter

The masses of coil wound wires shall be 12.5 kg, 25 kg and 75 kg, and the di- mensions and tolerances of coils shall be in

23、accordance with clause 3 of JIS Z 3200. Masses of spool wound wires shall be 10 kg, 12.5 kg and 20 kg, the dimensions and tolerances of spools shall be in accordance with clause 3 of JIS Z 3200. Further, the spool shall be so made as to be insulated electrically from the wires. Masses of other coil

24、wires and spool wires, and of other wound wires than coil and spool wound, and their dimensions and winding methods shall be agreed between the parties concerned. 7 Tests The analysis method for wires shall be in accordance with any one of the following: JIS G 1201, JIS G 1204, JIS G 1211, JIS G 121

25、2, JIS G 1213, JIS G 1214, JIS G 1215, JIS G 1216, JIS G 1217, JIS G 1218, JIS G 1219, JIS G 1253, JIS G 1256, JIS G 1257, JIS G 1258 8 Inspection For wires, the quality, dimensions and condition of products shall comply with the specifications of 4, 5 and 6 . 9 Packaging The packaging shall be in a

26、ccordance with clause 5 of JIS Z 3200. 10 Designation of products The products shall be designated by type, diameter and mass of wires.
