This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the mcthods of sampling and preparation of test Sampling Method of Test Sample 2.1 The test sample shall be taken at the time of melti

In thc case where sampling from the product is carried out by the orderer or user, it shall always be conducted in the presence of the manufacturer, and the procedure thereon shall be dete

7、 Dipper sampling and shot mcthod (a part of silver brazing filler metal which contains high silver content ratio, excluding the metal which contains tin) (3) Dipper sampling and wrought method (a part of gold and palladium brazing filler metals) Internal dinicnsion Width Icngih Depth - 1 20 I 2 0 15

Sample Preparation Method 3.1 Dipper Sampling and Boring Method (1) Dipper Sampling Method As to melting and casting of various kinds of brazing filler metals, take out the crucible which contains molten metal, after removing carefully the slog and the like, agitate sufficiently with a prehea

In this process, protrude quickly a small crucible being preheated at thc sanic tenipcra- ture as that of the molten metal, at an approximately intermittent point of flow of molten metal, dip out sanipic metal, pour into the mould() for test samp

12、 Z 3900-1974 (2) Boring Method As to the test sample ingot, polish to clean the surface which was contacted with the mould by using sodium hydrogencarbonate, appropriate polishing powder, or the like. Equip a gimlet 3 to 5 mm in diameter to a small drilling machine, carry out drilling() of several p

Make the quantity of the chips approximately 10 g, in which fillets are cut to approxi- mately 3 mm or less with a clean scissors, form two increments of specimens thus prepared of approximately 5 g per each according to conical quarter

14、ing method, packed them into bags respectively, and seal tightly. Note (2) The gimlet to be used shall be cleaned sufficiently by wiping the gimlet with a clean cloth piece immersed in alcohol. The specimen receiver shall be capable of preventing the scattering of chips. The number of revolutions of

15、 gimlet shall be controlled so slowly that oxidation is prevented, and the end of gimlet shall not reach the oxidized part of the rear side of the test sample ingot, provided that water and other cooling agents, lubricants, or the like shall not be used. 3.2 Dipper Sampling and Shot Method According

16、 to 3.1 ( 1 ) with the necessary changes, dip out the sample molten metal into a small crucible, pour little by little this metal by keeping the amount of this flow approximately constant to a wooden piece or bamboo side belly part which is floated in a cooling tank(3), and granulate with water. 17、e out the shot specimen which is collected in the round bottom container from the water as it is, dewater by tilting method, and after quick drying at a temperature that is able to prevent oxidation of the surface of granule, and carry out screening as given in the following: By using a sieve of 420

18、 pm (equivalent to 35 mesh) of .TIS 2 8801, remove the part of minus sieve, further, by using a sieve of 3360 pm (equivalent to 6 mesh), screen the part of plus screen, take out the part of 420 to 3360 pm, divide according to conical quartering method, form two increments of prepared specimens of 5

19、to 10 g per each, pack them into bags respectively, weigh respective masses, and seal tightly. - Note (3) The cooling tank shall be a wooden one approximately 250 mm in diameter and approximately 300 mm in depth. Fill approximately a half of the tank with water, and allow to sink a round bottom copp

Float a cylindrical wooden piece or bamboo one (made of unseasoned material approximately 75 mm in diameter and approximately 180 mm in length). 3.3 Dipper Sampling and Wrought Method Agitate suf

21、ficiently the molten metal stated in 3.1 (1) with a preheated stirring rod, insert sequentially two charcoal spoons(4) for test sample preheated to the same temperature as that of molten metal into the said metal as deep as possible, dip out approximately 5 g of each sample metal with the spoon, and

22、 stand them still and let to cool. Take out the spherical sample from the charcoal spoon, after weighing correctly each mass, pack them into bags, respectively, and seal tightly. At the time of weighing out thc specimen for chemical analysis, charge the spherical test sample into a heating furnace f

23、or annealing, make the upper surface obtained at the time of dipping out correctly upward or downward, and make lat by hammering on a sufficiently polished anvil. After annealing once again, roll to 0.2 to 0.25 mm in thickness with a sufficiently polished roll, make thcm clean with a cloth piece imm

24、ersed into alcohol, and cut to fine squarc picccs 3 mm or less in side length with a suiciently polished scissors. Note (4) Instead of a charcoal spoon, a graphite spoon of good quality may be uscd, Those spoons shall be uscd by placing between polishcd iron tongs. For a charcoal spoon, the low ash

25、and densc charcoal siicli as “Magnolia obovata charcoal“ shall be used. With this respect, charcoal approxiniatcly 50 mni in diametcr shall be cut to 55 to GO mm in Icngth, worked ncatly to orm “L“ shape with a filc, etc., and shave off lhe uppcr surface o the horizontal part to make a spoon shapc.

26、By using a gimler of approximately 5 mrn in diameter, perforni drilling up to an appropriate depth, and work so as to obtain one or two pieces of test samples of spherical or cylindrical shape.
