3、made based on the original Japanese Industrial Standard revised by the Minister of International Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee in accordance with the Industrial Standardization Law. Consequently JIS 2 2345 : 1994 is replaced with JIS Z 2345 :

4、 2000. In this revision, IS0 2400 : 1972 Welds in steel-Reference block for the calibration of equipment for ultrasonic examination and IS0 7963 : 1985 W e l d s in steel-Calibration block No. 2 for ultrasonic examination of welds have been used as the basis to prepare Japanese Industrial Standard c

5、onforming with the relevant International Standards. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a patent after opening to the public, utility model right or application for registration of utility model after opening to th

11、ing Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard was established in 1987 and re- vised in 1994, and has been revised again by taking conformity with the correspond- ing International Standard (IS0 2400 : 1972, Welds in steel-Reference block for the calibration of equipment for ultrasonic examinati

12、on) into consideration. The principal matters in this revision are as stated below. a) The heat treatment conditions and verification procedure (verification items and verification conditions) have been looked at again to conform the standard test blocks type Al with the corresponding reference bloc

13、ks of IS0 2400. STB-A32 has been newly added in standard test blocks type A3 series. The methods for indicating surface roughness and dimensional tolerances have been amended on all the standard test blocks. b) c) 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the standard test blocks used for

14、calibrating and adjusting the ultrasonic test equipment and for adjusting the working sensitivity. 17、the definitions specified in JIS Z 2300, the following principal definitions apply: a) standard test block type A2 series Standard test block type A2 series is a generic term for the standard test blocks of 3 kinds i.e., STB-AB, STB-A21 and STB-A22 which are used for adjusting the working sensitivit

18、y and measuring the overall performance characteristics of the ultrasonic test equipment (hereafter re- ferred as utest equipment”), etc. This is abbreviated to type A2 series STB. standard test block type A3 series Standard test block type A3 series is a generic term for the standard test blocks of

33、dB/m at a frequency of 5 MHz and 20 dBIm at 10 MHz. A2 type series STB A3 me sm N1 type STB Al type STB When the local immersion test is carried out on the black sealed specimen by applying normal beam to all the surface of one side using a probe of 20 mm in nominal diameter at a frequency of 5 MHz,

34、 there shall be no flaw echo which exceeds l / 4 (-12 dB) of the echo signal height of STB-G V2. (2) When the immersion test is carried out by applying normal beam onto two sides neighboring to each other of the specimen using a probe of 20 mm in nominal diameter at a frequency of 5 MHZ, there shall

35、 be no flaw echo which exceeds 1/4 (-12 dB) of the echo signal height of STB-G V2. When the local immersion test is carried out on the black sealed specimen by applying normal beam to all the surface of one side using a probe of 20 mm i n nominal diameter at a frequency of 5 MHz, there shall be no f

36、law echo which exceeds l/4 (-12 dB) of the echo signal height of STB-G V2. 6 Shapes and dimensions Shapes and dimensions of standard test blocks shall be as given in Attached Figs. 1 to 10. The appearance test shall be carried out as stated below. a) The inspection of surface roughness shall be carr

37、ied out by comparing with the roughness samples. b) The accuracy test of scale mark shall be carried out on the graving template and the product sample. 42、tes (1) The machine oil shall be IS0 VG10 of JIS K 2238. In the case of water, water distance shall be 50 mm to 100 mm. (2) The shape of electrode in transducer shall be such that the effect of near field is avoided up to the distance to the reflection source. (3) The V2 and V3 are not measured at 2

43、 (or 2.25) MHz. (4) This shall be the one selected from among STB-A3, STB-A31, STB-A32 and STB-A7963 whose correlations with STB-A1 and STB-A2 are made clear. 7.2 Verifying conditions and verifying methods The verifying conditions and verifying methods of standard test blocks shall be as given in Ta
