8、AL STANDARD Nickel brazing filler metals JIS Z 3265: 1998 Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard is the revised version of JIS Z 3265: 1986 Nickel brazing filler metals, after taking the contents of the second edition of IS0 3677 Filler metal for soft soldering, brazing and braze welding-Des

9、ignation issued in 1992 into account. In addition to the items specified in the JI$, “Designation and Symbols” specified in IS0 3677 are adopted and coordinat- ed without changing the technical contents. 1 Scope brazing, hereafter referred to as “brazing filler metals”. This Japanese Industrial Stan

10、dard specifies the nickel brazing filler metals used for 2 Normative reference The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards indicated below shall be applied. JIS H 0321 JIS Z 39

11、05 General rules for inspection of non-ferrous metal materials Methods for chemical analysis of nickel brazing filler metals 3 Classification chemical composition as shown in Table 1. The brazing filler metals shall be classified into 8 classes on the basis of their 4 Quality The quality of the braz

12、ing filler metals shall be as follows : a) The brazing filler metal shall be uniform in quality and free from harmful defects in use. b) The chemical composition of the brazing filler metal shall comply with Table 1, when tested in accordance with the method specified in 6. 5 Shape, dimension and to

13、lerance a) The shapes of the brazing filler metals shall be ribbon, bar, granule, powder and preformed (shaped with binder) types and they are represented by R, B, P (for granule and powder) and F respectively. b) The dimensions and tolerances of the ribbon, bar, preformed, granule and powder types

14、brazing filler metal shall be agreed between the parties concerned with delivery. c) The standard size of the powder type brazing filler metal shall be 106 pm and the tolerance shall be agreed between the parties concerned with delivery. The chemical analysis test of the brazing filler metal shall be in 7 Inspection The inspection shall be conducted as follows : a) The quality, shape and dimensi

17、on of the brazing filler metal shall meet the requirements of 4 and 5 above. However, a part of the chemical analysis test may be omitted subject to the consent between the parties concerned with delivery. b) The other general matters shall be in accordance with .TIS H 0321. 8 Packaging tion and dam

18、age during transportation and storage. The brazing filler metals shall be packaged properly to prevent possible contamina- 9 Designation of products The products shall be designated according to the classes (sym- bols), shapes and dimensions (thickness and width for ribbon type, diameter and length

19、for bar type, and size for granule and powder types), The designation of the preformed type shall be agreed between the parties concerned with delivery.
