Summary of Topics Th
2、ese revisions to ANSI/UL 1310 include the following changes in requirements: Revisions to the requirements for power supplies used by travelers Update to the reference for input blade requirements Clarifi cation of the permissable power supply cords Backfeed protection integral to the intended batte
3、ry load Revision to specify acceptable means for grounding and bonding conductors to an enclosure Full-Load Output Current Test for battery charger marked for use with specifi c battery Ceiling receptacles and direct plug-in units Floor for drop impact test Measured input current when temperatures s
4、tabilize Clarifi cation of battery charger caution marking Text that has been changed in any manner is marked with a vertical line in the margin. Changes in requirements are marked with a vertical line in the margin and are followed by an effective date note indicating the date of publication or the
5、 date on which the changed requirement becomes effective. The new and revised requirements are substantially in accordance with ULs Proposal(s) on this subject dated March 21, 2008. The revisions dated July 17, 2008 include a reprinted title page (page1) for this Standard. As indicated on the title
6、page (page 1), this UL Standard for Safety is an American National Standard. Attention is directed to the note on the title page of this Standard outlining the procedures to be followed to retain the approved text of this ANSI/UL Standard. Because of differences in the computer/software/printer setup used by UL and those of electronic Standards purchasers, the printed copy obtained by a purchaser may not look exactly like the on-lin
21、e screen view or the printed Standard. An employee of an organization purchasing a UL Standard can make a copy of the page or pages being viewed for their own fair and/or practical internal use. The requirements in this Standard are now in effect, except for those paragraphs, sections, tables, fi gu
22、res, and/or other elements of the Standard having future effective dates as indicated in the note following the affected item. The prior text for requirements that have been revised and that have a future effective date are located after the Standard, and are preceded by a SUPERSEDED REQUIREMENTS no
23、tice. New product submittals made prior to a specifi ed future effective date will be judged under all of the requirements in this Standard including those requirements with a specifi ed future effective date, unless the applicant specifi cally requests that the product be judged under the current r
24、equirements. However, if the applicant elects this option, it should be noted that compliance with all the requirements in this Standard will be required as a condition of continued Listing, Recognition, and Follow-Up Services after the effective date, and understanding of this should be signifi ed
