Americans love their national flag deeply just as they love their mot
6、herland and their own lives.The flag of Stars and Stripes is the crystal of American patriotism. A strong prosperous nation with steady sustainable development largely depends on its peoples love, support and devotion. Everyone should love their country in their inner heart so that they will have bu
7、rning passion, and burst out infinite energy which will encourage all of them to go forward bravely and firmly for the interests of their motherland.It is obvious that patriotism is very important for a nations existence and development not only in America but also in any other country. 16、 National FlagOne of American great symbols is the American flag, 13 red and white stripes corresponding to the number of original states on a rectangular piece of color, one corner blue with 50 white stars for 50 states. The red color represents courage, white freedom and blue justice.The original
17、flag of America appeared during the War of Independence. At that time, the colonial people of 13 states took part in the war and made a flag called “The Great Allys Flag” to show their will of sharing a bitter hatred of the enemy and fighting against the aggressors together. The base of this flag is
18、 13 red and white stripes on a rectangular piece of color, which represents 13 colonial states. The upper left corner of this flag is a small Union Jack, which reflects the colonys acknowledgement of the status of its suzerain England. But this flag had been opposed by people soon because they thoug
19、ht that America already stood independently, there would not be pictures about British flag any more. So people began to design the picture of the American flag which truly represented America. It was an interesting plan that people wanted to use a star to represent a state, but there were some diff
20、erences on the ways of arrangement about these 13 stars. The first president of America Washington proposed a plan later on. People chose the plan of arranging 13 stars into a circle. The flag was used in 1777 formally and it was the first Stars and Stripes of America. This flag was in use until 179
21、4.In 1794, Vermont and Kentucky joined America, the Congress decided to modify the national flag. So 13 stars became 15 stars, 13 stripes also became 15 stripes. The 15 stars were arranged on the upper left corner of the flag according to the form of 35. After that, when a new state was added to Ame
22、rica, the star on the national flag was added one, and the stripe on the national flag was also added one. When the arrangement had been changed, the design of the national flag changed too.In 1818, the Congress passed a law about the modification of the national flag. It regulated that the numbers

The 48 stars were arranged into a rectangle according to the form of 68. This design was nice-looking. This flag of 48 stars was used

It was also the American national flag which the Chinese people had often seen commonly before their liberation and called “The Flower Flag”.In 1959, Alaska joined America and America had 49 states. The 49 stars of the national flag were rearranged a little according to the design
26、 of 77. But when Hawaii joined America and it became the 50th state of America. The arrangement of these 50 stars of the national flag that became more complicated. At last, people adopted the design of alternate permutation of 6554 through the discussion over and over again. This is the 20th time f

During The Civil War in 1864, there had been 11 states who wanted to be divorced from the Federation. But President Lincoln still

In 1949, the Congress acknowledg
31、ed that “The American National Flags Day” is June 14 every year formally. So whenever the day is coming, each state will hold all kinds of commemoration ceremonies and they will hang the national flag in the public places to show their respects. Every July 4, the whole country will become the ocean
32、of American national flag. People crowd into the local downtown areas with flags one after another at dusk to hold many colorful shows of music, dances and arts in the open air; they also watch the firework together on the square. All of these are just to celebrate the festival voluntarily.America i
33、s not only a multinational country, but also a country with different races. The almost people are white people and its rate is around 2/3; the rates of the Black and the Latin American are both around 13%; the Asians about 4%. So there are so many problems in America: the complicated formation of r

But when the calamities are coming, what power make all Americans unite and melt together who come from different places of the world with different cultures and different level of property as well as dif

The Americans have achieved a lot not only in economy, politics, science and technology, military affairs and national defense, but also

What they have done largely helps to bring about the success of the development of American economy.American people have such a high degree of respect for the national flag and American people give publicity to the spirit of the United States around the na

In order to ensure the loyalty to the nation of every newcomer into America, they hold the ceremony of becoming American citizens for the immigrants every year.
