Its my great honor to be here to talk about my teaching ideas. My presentation consists of six parts. Well firstly I will talk about part1 Part 1 The anal

2、ysis of the teaching material 1、Status and function This lesson is the fourth period , selected from unit 6 “Do you like bananas?” Its title is “Sports Star Eats Well ”. It is about eating habits and talking about what sb. like and dislike. It is a reading and writing lesson. 2、 Teaching aims and de

3、mands Firstly , the knowledge aims, By the end of this lesson, the students need to master the words and phrases: sports star; eat well; ask sb. about sth. eating habits; health-healthy; question ; after dinner; want to do sth. want to be Secondly, the ability aims The ability aims are to develop th

4、e students abilities of reading and writing,to train the students abilities of using 第 2 页 language, to guide the students to talk about likes and dislikes. Thirdly, the emotional and attitude goal Anyhow, it is very important for us to keep healthy. 3、Teaching key points and difficult points Key po

5、ints The key points are to enable students to master the new words and phrases. Difficult points By the end of this lesson ,students can talk about other s eating habits with the words and phrases we have learned. Then I will talk about part 2. Part 2 The analysis of the students level As you know,m

6、y students are from rural areas,and their English foundation is rather weak,specially their reading and writing skills.So I have to spend much energy on developing these abilities. Let us move on to another part. Part 3 Teaching methods and studying methods In this lesson,I adopt Task-based teaching

7、 method and communicative teaching method. As for studying methods , we mainly adopt self-study. 第 3 页 In a word, I want to make the students the real masters of the class while the teacher myself act as a director. Part 4 Teaching aids: I mainly use multi-media and a blackboard. Now I will talk abo

8、ut my teaching procedures.I design them into 4steps. Part 5 Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up. Show a picture of food and ask the students:what food do you like?After students give their choices I will ask another question:what food do you think is healthy?Now make your own choices in 2a,check y

My purpose of this designing is to warm up and draw the pa

10、ssage we are going to learn. Step2 While- reading. Firstly ,skimming I will ask the students to read the article quickly and circle the food words. Then read the words all together. Secondly,careful reading 1.Read the article carefully, then fill in the chart. A volleyball star-Cindy s meals breakfa

13、es to eat fruit for breakfast. She doesnt like bananas, but she likes oranges and apples. She likes salad for lunch. She doesnt like hamburgers for dinner, because they re not healthy. After dinner,she likes ice-cream, but she doesnt eat it. Because she doesn t want to be fat. (My purpose is to achi

14、eve the knowledge aims) Secondly,make the students retell the passage according to the passage. (My purpose is to check the learningeffect by doing this exercise. ) Step 3 Post- reading Show a video of the interview between a reporter and a 第 6 页 football star in our school,I will play it for two ti

15、mes.Then make the students work in groups to talk about the contents of the video,then each group write a composition according to the video. This procedure is to use the sentences we have learned and improve the abilities of listening,speaking and writing . Those are my all reading procedures,I mus

16、t point that this reading process is based on the results of our four rural middle shoolsstudy and research. Step 4 Homework At last, tell the students what todays homework is. The first one is to write five sentences about Cindy s eating habits. This is a consolidation exercise.The second one is to

17、 write a composition about their eating habits. Its a development exercise. Part 6 Blackboard Design Unit 6 Sports Star Eats Well. Language points: 1eat well 2ask sb. about sth. 3eating habits 4. want to be 第 7 页 Homework: 1. Write five sentences about Cindys eating habits. 2. Write a composition about their own eating habits.
