In China there are eight main regional cuisines, of which the most famous are Lu cuisine in Shandong Province, where seafood delicacies are highly prized; Sichuan cuisine in Sichuan Province, which boasts “hundreds of flav

17、ors for hundreds of dishes”, and which is famously hot and spicy; and Cantonese cuisine in Guangdong Province, where cooks pride themselves as being able to make a delicious meal from any ingredients.,Dining in China (2),Where to eat in China? Unlike in Western countries, Chinese food is designed to be eaten by a group of people sharing a number of different dishes rather than each person eating only his or her o

21、wn choice. Furthermore, food is usually served in bite-size pieces not only because it cooks faster in this way but also because it can be eaten with chopsticks. There are also a number of taboos to be aware of at a Chinese dining table. For example, never leave your chopsticks standing upright in a
