Contributions,contents,1.Life Experience(1885-1972),born in Idaho in 1885,graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1906,Sailed for Europe in 1908.,Came into contact with Hulme and his Poets Club.
2、 Appointed himself foreign editor of Poetry,In 1945, returned to America and was arrested on charge of treason. In 1946, acquitted, and declared insane. In 1958, released from St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington. In 1972, died in Venice as a recluse.,2.Imagism,Imagism flourished from 1909 to 1917
3、and involved quite a number of British and American writers and poets. The Imagist Movement advanced modernism in arts and concentrated on reforming the medium of poetry as opposed to Romanticism.,Pound and Imagism,Pound was fascinated by the idea of an alphabet that represented not only sounds but
