Analysis of the students The students have learned the topic “Occupations” last term. This period, we are going to continue talking a

3、bout what they are going to be when they grow up and how they are going to do that, the tasks in this period should be finished easily. 8、in 1a on page 59. Do you think these jobs are interesting? Rank them (1-6) (1 is most interesting, 6 is least interesting).Step 4 Listening Ask students to read the four jobs and the four verb phrases in 1b.Play the recording, students listen and match the jobs with the verb phrases.Step 5 Pairwork

9、Give each student a card. There is a word about jobs and a verb phrase on each card. According to the contents on the card, students ask and answer in pairs using the target language.Step 6 Game Divide the students into 2 teams. Give each team 10 cards. There is a word about jobs and a verb phrase o

10、n each card. The firs student from each team asks “What are you going to be when you grow up?” and “How are you going to do that?” According to the contents on the card, the second student answers as quickly as he can. After answering correctly, he gives the card to teacher and asks the third studen

11、t the same questions, the third student answers as quickly as he can. The team which gives 10 cards first is the winner.Step 7 Listening Ask students to look at the pictures in 2a and pay attention to the people in the bubbles. Read the instructions to the class. Play the recording, students listen

12、and check the correct boxes in the picture.Step 8 Listening Have students look at the chart in 2b and pay attention to the words in the first column and the sample answer after “What”. Play the recording again, students listen and fill in the chart. Play the recording a third time, students listen a

13、nd check the answers.Step 9 Pairwork Have students ask and answer questions about Cheng Hans plans in pairs using the information from 2b.Step 10 Practice Ask students to say what he is going to be when he grow up and how he is going to do that one by one.Step 11 Summary This period weve done some l
