The situation is not real or is imaginary.,Grammar and usage Unreal conditionals 虚拟语气中的非真实条件句,虚拟语气体现在谓语动词的形式和时态上。 For example:,虚拟语气的体现,If I were a millionaire, I would travel around the world.,If I had a lot of money, I would donate some to the Hope Project.,If I knew t
3、he answer, I could tell you.,In summary, these imaginary conditions are contrary to the present, the past or the future situation.,虚拟语气的体现,The present situation,If sb. did/ were , sb. would/ could/ might/ should do,如果我再高那么一点点，我就能碰到那个按钮了。,I could reach that button if I were a bit taller.,非真实条件句的时态表达,
4、如果if 假设的情况完全不存在或者实现的可能性很小,可以说几乎没有时,就需要用虚拟语气来表达, 此时的句子时态比真实条件句中的时态后退一步。 而非真实条件句的假设分为三种情况，与现在事实相反的假设、与过去事实相反的假设和与将来情况相反的假设。,虚拟语气,条件从句和主句中的虚拟语气,主语+should/ would/could/might +动词原形do,主语+should/would /could/might + have done,If+主语+ had done/ had been done,If+主语+动词的过去式 (did/ were.),注意： 在if I /he/she/it 之后，
5、可用were代替was。两者在意义上没有区别，但是were更为正式，特别是在陈述心存怀疑的事情时，如： If she were ready, we would go.,在与将来事实相反的条件从句中，我们可以用were to或should +do来表示,如: If I were to fail my English test, I would have to take it again at the end of the term. If he should come tomorrow, I would talk to him about it.,主语+should/ would/could/
6、might+动词原形do,语气助动词would, could和might常可替换使用，但各有不同的意思。 would表示打算或计划； could表示能力或可能性； might表示可能性。,虚拟条件句中的语气助动词,unreal present conditionals:,If were/did , would do ,1. 假如我有更多的时间，我就会学习法语。,If I had more time, I would study French.,2. 要不是她这么忙,她就会出席今天下午的会议了。,Practice:,If she were not so busy, she would atten
