Unfortunately in this job, youve got to make everyone feel you really enjoy their company. W: Quite frankly, the less I have to do with them the better! M: I tell you what though in my apprai

42、sal I suggested some changes to the way I work. I couldnt persuade Carol to let me work fewer evenings and more on Saturdays, but at least I wont have to come into the office every day: shes letting me work from home instead. And thatll mean Ill waste less time travelling, so I should be able to mak

43、e more commission, which will be a relief, as the basic salarys so low. W: Good for you. M: We also talked about an idea I have for increasing sales, which shell put to the senior managers. The companys spending much more on advertising now, so the names more recognisable, but I suspect it werent le

44、ad directly to more business. Now that sales reps are allowed to travel anywhere in the country, incentives should be offered to existing customers to introduce new ones. Its the personal contact that counts. W: So with your management experience, you must be in good position to judge your own line

45、manager. What do you think of her skills? M: Shell always make time to listen to anyone in the team who wants to talk to her, and thats a plus. On the other hand, Ive never known her to be ready for a meeting, even when shes called it herself, which isnt a very good model for the department. And its really left up to us to motivate ourselves. W: Well, Im pleased your interview seems to have gone well. 2.
