3、P5主机，所以在新采购的P55A和P570上使用没有问题1.3 安装方法目前共有两种安装方法，一是通过光盘引导进行安装；二是通过内置磁带引导进行恢复安装第2章 通过光盘安装操作系统步骤2.1 介质准备AIX5.3介质：AIX5.3操作系统DVD-ROM安装介质，共1张盘（或8张cd）IBM网站提供的AIX5.3 的05补丁包和05CSP的补丁包2.2 安装方法概述在此方案中，从光驱中安装全新和完全覆盖的 BOS，请执行以下操作：从 AIX 产品 CD 引导 设置 BOS 安装设置执行到 hdisk0 的 AIX 的全新完全覆盖安装 使用英语作为主要语言 在“更多选项”菜单里使用缺省选项 开始
4、BOS 安装和配置系统如果正在覆盖现有系统，在您开始该方案之前，请从系统收集 TCP/IP 信息。2.3 开始安装操作系统2.3.1 启动系统通过光盘启动系统来进行操作系统的安装，其具体步骤如下：1登录Service Processor（通过HMC1或COM1）Power On主机，或者按下Operator Panel上的Reset Button Power On主机，之后，将AIX的安装光盘放入光驱。2当显示“keyboard”或听见“嘀嘀”两声时，按“1”或“F1”键，进入SMS菜单，选择“5”，选择启动设备Main Menu 1.
