Based on the 13th Annual HDD survey, there were a total of
3、 2045 new HDD machines from 18 manufacturers that entered into the market. This is -20.5% compared with 2013 (2573).,New HDD Machines,Of the 2045 HDD machines, 537 (26.3%) were exported to other countries; mainly to the BRICS countries (Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa). As of 2014, there are
4、a total of 14,538 HDD machines in the Chinese market including 2805 HDD machines exported.,HDD Machines Sold in China,Size Range of HDD Machines,Large machines (over 500 kN pullback): decreased from 276 (10.7%) in 2013 to 179 (8.7%) including 50 Maxi machines (over 1000 kN pullback). Midi machines (
5、250 to 500 pullback): 1216 compared with 1256 in 2013, but its market proportion increased from 48.8% in 2013 to 59.5% in 2014. According to the New National Urbanization Plan (2014-2020), the urbanization rate will be 45% in 2020. Th
14、ere is a lot of urban infrastruture facilities to be constructed including underground pipelines in the next five years.,By 2015, the census on underground pipeline will be finished and its information system will launched. In five years, all old (especially over 50 years) and seriously damaged pipe
15、lines will be rehabilitated or replaced; pipelines for wastewater and stormwater will be constructed or reformed; cables for city electricity, lighting, communication and fiber-optic network etc. will be improved. In ten years, a comprehensive urban underground pipeline system will be set up.,Pipes

In order to solve the energy shortage problem and improve the urban environment, many
17、gas pipelines will be installed in the future. (1) From the total length, there were only 60,000 km of gas pipelines installed through 2013, which is less than 1/8 of the 490,000 km installed in U.S.,(2) From the construction speed, the total length of gas pipelines increased from 14,800 km in 2002
18、to 25,500 km in 2007 (2,100 km installed each year); however, it increased from 28,100 km in 2008 to 60,000 km in 2013 (6,300 km installed for every year). (3) From an energy consumption structure, natural gas accounted for only 5.1% in 2013, which is far less than 23.7% of the world average and 29.
19、6% in U.S.,According to the Energy Development Strategic Action Plan (2014-2020), natural gas will account for 10% of the energy consumption structure by 2020. Construction speed will increase in the next five years. The total pipeline length for natural gas will reach 120,000 km in 2020 (more than
20、8,000 km will be installed annually) . Presently, four main natural gas pipelines with a total length of 16,000 km are either under construction or will be constructed.,CNPC,China National Petroleum Corp. 23、ngth of 360 km with diameters of 1016 mm or 1219 mm.
