This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication

14、 of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2002, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2002. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission (EC) and the European Free Trade Association This Eur

15、opean Standard consists of seven parts which are: Part 1Definitions of pressure, temperature and volume; Part 2Quantities, symbols and units; Part 3Definition of parties involved; Part 4Establishment of technical delivery conditions for metallic materials; Part 5Inspection documentation of metallic

EN 764-3:2002 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard defines terms and definitions of parties in

18、volved in the design, manufacture, testing and inspection of pressure equipment and assemblies addressed by the European Directive 97/23/EC. 2 Terms and definitions 2.1 material manufacturer individual or organisation that produces material in the basic product forms used in the manufacture of press

19、ure equipment 2.2 material supplier individual or organisation, that may or may not be the material manufacturer, who supplies material or parts used in the manufacture of pressure equipment and assemblies 2.3 manufacturer individual or organisation that is responsible for the design, fabrication, t

20、esting, inspection, installation of pressure equipment and assemblies where relevant NOTE 1The manufacturer can subcontract one or more of the above mentioned tasks under its responsibility. NOTE 2In EU member states the manufacturer is responsible for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directiv

21、e 97/23/EC. For those manufacturers outside of the EU their authorized representative inside the EU assumes this responsibility. 2.4 designer, fabricator and/or installer, subcontractor of the manufacturer individual or organisation that respectively performs design, fabrication, testing, installati

22、on where relevant, of pressure equipment under contract to the manufacturer 2.5 first party individual or organisation that designs, manufactures or supplies the pressure equipment or the assembly 2.6 second party individual or organisation that uses and/or operates the pressure equipment or the ass

23、embly 2.7 third party individual or organisation independent of the first and second party NOTEInspectors of the suppliers of material, manufacturers, fabricators/installers or their subcontractors are not third party inspectors. 2.8 user and/or operator individual or organisation that uses and/or o

25、ing out inspections to verify that the requirements of the technical specification(s) are met 2.11 responsible authority competent organisation which is independent of the manufacturer. For application within the jurisdiction of the European Union this organisation may be a notified body, a recognis

26、ed third-party organisation or an user inspectorate. For application outside the jurisdiction of the European Union this organisation may be a government regulating body or an independent inspection authority. For the purpose of this standard all these organisations have been collectively termed res
