2、 federal agencies. The complete requirements for procuring couplings described herein shall consist of this document and the latest issue in effect of A-A-59326A. 1. SCOPE. This specification covers a female by flange coupling halve to be used in conjunction with a male cam lock type coupling. 2. CL

The following characteristics differ fro
6、m those listed in A-A-59326A. 3.1 Hydrostatic test pressure. The -inch through 6-inch couplings shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 300 pounds per square inch gage (psig). The 6-inch, 75 psi rated couplings shall withstand a hydrostatic test pressure of 150 psig. 3.2 Working pressure. The
7、 -inch through 4-inch couplings shall be rated for 150 pounds per square inch working pressure. The 6-inch couplings shall be rated for 75 psi or 150 psi working pressure as appropriate. 3.3 Accessories. The coupling shall be supplied with pull rings and gasket indicated. 4. NOTES. 4.1. Part Identif
8、ication Number (PIN). The following PIN procedure is for government purposes and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor. This example describes a part numbering system for a specification sheet A-A-59326/8A AA59326/8-3-SS-1; /8 indicates a Female by Flange Type VIII (TTMA) Coupling Hal
9、f; -3 indicates a 3-inch nominal cam lock end; SS indicates a stainless steel body; and -1 indicates a style 1 coupling. Material: A - Aluminum B - Copper Alloy (Brass or Bronze) BA - Aluminum Bronze SS - Stainless Steel Style 1 - Style 1 couplings do not require the incorporation of a positive lock
10、ing mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position but the cam arms will stay in the closed position when the coupling halves are assembled. Style 2 - Style 2 couplings will incorporate a positive locking mechanism to lock the cam arms in the closed position when the coupling halves are assem
11、bled. The locking mechanism will be manually released (the release doesnt have to stay in the released position) before the cam arms can be moved to the open position. 4.2. International standardization. Certain provisions of this specification (dimensions) are the subject of international standardization agreement (see A-A-59326A).
