Common Name bromacil 1 . 1 The word “bromacil” (pronounced br-mi-sl) has been accepted as the A

2、merican Standard common name for the chemical 5-bromo-3-sec-butyl-6-meth- yluracil. 1 . 2 Acceptance signifies compliance with American Standard Procedure for the Acceptance of an Ameri- can Standard Common Name for a Pest Control Chemical, K62.1-1956 and Addenda K62.la-1958. 2. Use of Corninon Name

3、 2 . 1 The common name applies to the 100-percent pure chemical. 2 . 2 Technical grades and formulations shall indicate the percentage of bromacil present ; r.g., bromacil- 80 percent. 2 . 3 The Sponsor of the common name “bromacil Name furnished upon request. Page 1 o f 2 pages has agreed to releas

4、e and permit the use of the name bromacil” with respect to any product, whether or not manufactured or formulated by it, which con- tains a pest control chemical conforming to the description set forth in this standard. *6 3. Limitations 3 . 1 Neither ASA nor its committee guarantees or assumes any

5、responsibility that use of this name in connection with this or any other chemical or prod- uct will not infringe on or conflict with any existing proprietary name, trademark or trade name. Ap- proval as an American Standard common name con- stitutes recognition by ASA that a consensus exists within

6、 a representative committee, operating under ASA procedure and basing its recommendation on data submitted by a Sponsor, favoring consideration of the use of the name to designate the pest control chemical described herein by all interested persons. The information concerning the chemical and physic

7、- al properties of the chemical is not a part of the standard but is provided solely as an aid to identifi- cation, and ASA does not guarantee its accuracy.
