8、ppendix A. 1 Inspection and testing procedure 1.1 This British Standard shall be used in conjunction with Sections 1 and 5 of BS TA 100. 1.2 The tolerances applicable to material finished by cold rolling shall apply. 2 Manufacture The materials shall be made from ingots produced, by consumable elect
9、rode melting, from materials having a total carbon content of not more than 0.08 %. 3 Chemical composition The chemical composition of the material shall be: 4 Condition The material shall be supplied annealed and subsequently descaled. 5 Heat treatment The material shall be annealed as follows: 1)
10、Heat at a temperature of 790 10 C and hold at that temperature for not less than 15 minutes and not more than 30 minutes. 2) Cool in air. 6 Mechanical properties 6.1 The mechanical properties obtained from test pieces selected, prepared and tested in accordance with the relevant requirements of BS T
