、red under the direction of the Electronic Components Standards Committee, and is the generic specification for the low-frequency electrical connectors in the system of standards for electronic components of assessed quality. The revision is necessary in the light of changes in test requirements for

、low-frequency electrical connectors for electronic equipment. It also includes additional tests for airframe-fit connectors. It consists of two sections, the first of which prescribes mandatory requirements relating to terminology and definitions, test procedures, inspection procedure and general da

、ta. This section shall be used for inspection purposes as and when required by the detail specification. The second section prescribes general rules necessary for the preparation of detail specifications. This section also covers inspection requirements and certified test records. This standard call

、s for the use of substances and/or test procedures that may be injurious to health if adequate precautions are not taken. It refers only to technical suitability and in no way absolves either the supplier or the user from statutory obligations relating to health and safety at any stage of manufactur

、e or use. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. Summary of pages This document

、comprises a front cover, an inside front cover, pages i to viii, pages 1 to 82 and a back cover. This standard has been updated (see copyright date) and may have had amendments incorporated. This will be indicated in the amendment table on the inside front cover.
