20、7 BSI 1997 Introduction This European Standard results from the recognition that the heating appliances falling into the scope hereinafter stated are traded on the basis of their thermal output. To evaluate and compare different appliances, it is therefore essential to refer to a single stipulated v
21、alue, hereinafter called the standard thermal output. 1 Scope This Standard specifies the procedures for evaluating the conformity of radiators/convectors to EN 442-1. It specifies the procedures and methods for the initial evaluation and the controls required to maintain conformity. 2 Normative ref
22、erences This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent amendements to or revisions of any of
23、these publications apply to this European Standard only when incorporated in it by amendment or revision. For undated references the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. 24、 and convectors Part 2: Test methods and rating EN 45001General criteria for the operation of testing laboratories 3 Evaluation of conformity The conformity of the radiator/convector model or type to EN 442-1 shall concern: thermal output; safety in use; catalogue data; marking and labelling. 4 Init
25、ial attestation 4.1 Thermal output 4.1.1 The manufacturer shall obtain verification of the thermal output of the radiator/convector model or type to EN 442-2 from an accredited testing laboratory (see EN 45001) of his choice. 4.1.2 The models to be tested for determining the thermal output of the ty
26、pe shall be selected according to 5.2 of EN 442-2 : 1996. 4.1.3 The samples for test shall be selected according to 5.3 of EN 442-2: 1996. 4.1.4 The manufacturer shall submit to the testing laboratory the product drawings and data specified in 5.3 of EN 442-2 : 1996. 4.1.5 The testing laboratory sha
27、ll issue a test report to the manufacturer as shown in annex E of EN 442-2 : 1996. 4.2 Safety in use 4.2.1 The manufacturer shall obtain verification of the strength pressure test to 5.3 of EN 442-1 : 1995 from an accredited testing laboratory of his choice. The manufacturer shall state the maximum
28、operating pressure of the radiator/convector. The samples for pressure test shall be those previously used by the laboratory for determining the thermal output. The test laboratory shall issue a report stating the results of the strength pressure test for each sample. 4.2.2 The manufacturer shall at
29、test the material specifications and thickness of wet surface according to 5.1 of EN 442-1 : 1995. 4.2.3 The manufacturer shall attest that the pretreatment and paint process comply with requirements of clause 4 of EN 442-1 : 1995. 4.3 The manufacturer shall provide the minimum catalogue data accord
30、ing to clause 7 of EN 442-1 : 1995. 4.4 The manufacturer shall ensure that the marking and labelling of the radiator/convector comply with the requirements of clause 8 of EN 442-1 : 1995. 4.5 The initial attestation of conformity shall be valid until any change is made to the design of the model or
31、type or any change is made to the manufacturing process having an influence on the thermal output (see 5.3.2 of EN 442-2 : 1996). When the samples submitted to the testing laboratory for verification of thermal output are prototype appliances (that is appliances for which the manufacturing process d
32、oes not reflect the normal manufacturing process or tolerances) the initial attestation shall be valid for a period of 12 months. 33、 manufacturer shall institute a system of quality assurance to ensure that: the products maintain conformity with the requirements of EN 442-1; the measured thermal output of a production radiator/convector is not less than the catalogue output, within a tolerance (Sm) of 4 %.
