It was derived by CENELEC from IEC 60745-2-13:2006. It supersedes BS EN 50144-2-13:2002, which

The UK, as a member of CENELEC, is obliged to publish EN 60745-2-13:2007 as a British Standard. However, attention is drawn to the fact that

5、during the development of this European Standard, the UK voted against its approval as a European Standard. The UK does not support the run down time exceeding 1 second in 19.113. This is a relaxation of the run down time of 1 second that is specified in BS EN 50144-2-13:2002, which is superseded by

6、 this standard. This could lead to less safe machines being placed on the market. In the opinion of the UK committee, 19.113 should be amended and the committee intends to actively pursue an agreement from CENELEC to implement an amendment to the standard.
