25、1 Scope This standard is applicable to bulk case packaging capable of containing surface mount components. The bulk case is designed for transport and store components and to supply them directly or by an appropriate feeder to the placement machine. The bulk case is attached to the automatic handlin
26、g machine by means of a coupling interface. NOTEFor size limitations of components, see Annex A, Table A.1, Table A.2 and Table A.3. 2 Requirements 2.1 Case assembly Figure 1 shows the general view of the assembly of the bulk case. 2.2 Shutter mechanism The bulk case shall have a slide combined with
27、 a shutter to open and close the access hole. 2.3 Dimensions A general description and letter symbols for individual dimensions are given in Figure 2. A proportion scale shall be on the side opposite the label to indicate the percentage of contents remaining. To equalize air pressure, a suitable num
28、ber of small vent holes shall be provided in the end face of the case (see Figure 2). 30、e/Shutter 2.4 Material The material of the chamber shall be antistatic and transparent or translucent. The bulk case material shall not adversely affect the mechanical and electrical characteristics, solderability, or marking of the devices during or after transport and storage. 2.4.1 Recycling Bulk
31、 cases defined in Figure 1 and Figure 2 shall be permanently and visibly marked with an appropriate recycling symbol. ISO standard 11469 is recommended. 2.5 Mechanical stability Mechanical stability of loaded bulk cases during storage, transport and use shall be such that the components are retained
32、 without damage and that they can be easily removed. 3 Marking The bulk case shall provide space for a peelable label. The label shall be fixed onto the front and the shutter mechanism side as shown in Figure 1. The marking on the label shall comply with the requirements of the detail specification
33、of the component. Information may be given by normal script or in code form for automatic reading, for example OCR, bar code, magnetic etc. In the case of bar codes, it is recommended to use bar code 39. For optical character recognition (OCR), OCR B should be used. For recycling symbology, see 2.4.
