The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted by Technical Committee EPL/86, Fibre optics, to Subcommittee EPL/
4、86/2, Interconnecting devices and passive components, which has the responsibility to: aid enquirers to understand the text; present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed; monitor related i
5、nternational and European developments and promulgate them in the UK. A list of organizations represented on this subcommittee can be obtained on request to its secretary. From 1 January 1997, all IEC publications have the number 60000 added to the old number. For instance, IEC 27-1 has been renumbe
6、red as IEC 60027-1. For a period of time during the change over from one numbering system to the other, publications may contain identifiers from both systems. 23、pe and object The purpose of this part of IEC 1300 is to determine the effect on a fibre optic device of reduced air pressure, such as might be encountered at high altitudes. 1.2 General description This procedure is conducted in accordance with IEC 68-2-13, test M. The specimen is introduced into t
24、he chamber at standard atmosphere and temperature conditions. The pressure within the chamber is then reduced to the specified value and maintained for the required duration, after which the air pressure will be returned to normal. 1.3 Normative reference The following normative document contains pr
25、ovisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of IEC 1300. At the time of publication, the edition indicated was valid.
