The information contained in this section touches on hardware mainsta
10、ys: locksets, latchsets with trim and cylinders, hinges (butts), panic devices, and informative specifi cation tables. Although much of this information was furnished by two manufacturers, it re- mains very much generic in nature. 10.1.0 Door Hinges (Types and Illustrations) The butts are available
11、in a wide range of metals. Finish Hardware595 These butts have two equal square-edged leaves; one is mor- tised into the door and the other into the frame. It is avail- able in standard, heavy, or extra heavy weight. These butts have two equal leaves; one is square-edged and the other is bevel-edged

14、12“ (11.43 cm), 5“ (12.7 cm), and 6“ (15.24 cm). 596Section 10 Swing clear/full mortise are also available in half-surface, half-mortise, and full-surface confi gurations. These types of butts provide an unobstructed clear frame opening when door is in the 90 open position. It is available in either
15、 a single- or double-acting confi guration, usually mortised into the door and frame, providing closing action without a separate closer. Offset pivot hinges are mortised into the top and bottom edges of the door and into the frame jamb at the top and bot- tom. These hinges can also be mortised into
16、 the fl oor and the top of the frame. Center pivot hinges are attached to the top and bottom edges of the door and either into the top and bottom of the frame or into the fl oor and the top of the frame. Fully mortised into the edge of the door and frame, the hinge portion is not visible when the do
