1、 ENGINEERING STANDARDS Material Specification Plastics GMP.E/P.119 Polyolefin Alloy UV Stabilized, 20% Mineral Filler, Scratch Resistant, Injection Molded 1 Scope 1.1 Material Description. This specification covers the properties of a UV stabilized, scratch resistant, pellet form, injection molded b

Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint on Parts Systems (GM APOPS) database. 1.2 Symbol. The material abbreviation

3、ac- cording to ISO 11469 is E/PMD20. 1.3 Typical Application. Typical applica- tions include the following: high heat trim with good scratch resistance e.g. instrument panel trim, instrument panel substrate, rear window trim, etc. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable

GM9538P GMW3001 GMN3943 GMW3059 3 Requirements 3.1 Requirements on Delivery. Important physical, mechanical

5、and thermal properties that characterize the material are summa- rized in charts. The color shall be specified on drawings, in material specifications and otherwise. Unless otherwise specified, injection mold- ing of test specimens shall be accomplished per ISO 294. Test shall be conducted 40 h mini

6、mum after molding and immediately following a condi- tioning period of 24 h minimum in a con- trolled atmosphere of 22 3C and 50 5% RH. All tests shall be performed on unannealed specimens. Tests shall be conducted using the latest issue of the test methods indicated. Suit- able precautions should b

7、e taken to ensure that applicable safe limits are not exceeded when conducting test procedures, proc- esses, and/or handling the materials re- quired by this specification. 15、aking measurements and observations on weathered specimens, wash the specimens with a solution consisting of 2g No 7 Car Wash Concentrate (distributed by Armor All Products, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) and 1 L deionized water 22 3C. Use a soft sponge saturated with the solution and scrub the samples with

19、 for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Engineering qualification of an approved source is required for this specification. Only sources listed in the GM Materials File (i.e., MATSPC) under this specification number have been quali- fied by engineering as meeting the requirements of this specification. 7 Cod
