1、 ENGINEERING STANDARDS Material Specification Plastics GMP.PE.020 Polyethylene High Density, 30% Mica Filled, Blow Moldable, ASTM Tests 1 Scope This specification covers the properties of a high density, 30% mica filled, blow moldable polyeth- ylene. 1.1 Symbol. The material abbreviation accord- ing

2、 to ISO 11469 is PE-HD-PD30. 1.2 Typical Applications. 3、92 ASTM D1897 ASTM D2584 ISO 11469 2.2 GM Standards/Specifications. GMW3001 GMW3059 GMW3221 3 Requirements 3.1 Requirements on Delivery. Important physical, mechanical and thermal properties that characterize the material are summarized in charts. The color shall be specified on drawings, in materia

4、l specifications and otherwise. Unless otherwise specified, injection molding of test specimens shall be accomplished per ASTM D1897. Test specimens shall be 3.2 0.2 mm thick unless otherwise specified. All test specimens shall be brought to equilib- rium in standard conditions for temperature and m

5、oisture and tested in that state as defined in GMW3221 Code A, unless the test method indi- cates that standard conditioning is not required. Condition specimens for a minimum of 24 h prior to testing or until moisture equilibrium is reached. If specimens are tested outside the conditioned environme

6、nt, they shall be tested within 10 minutes of removal. The minimum values specified in the property tables must be met by test specimens in natural, black, or in a standard sampled color if natural or black are not available. For colored grades where other pigment and additive systems (e.g. stabiliz

7、er) are used, the impact values shall not decrease more than 10% from the specified minimum value. 12、 requirements of GMW3001, Rules and Regulations for Mate- rial Specifications. 5.2 All materials supplied to this specification must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Sub- stances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Engineering qualification of an approved source is requir

13、ed for this specification. Only sources listed in the GM Materials File (i.e. MATSPC) under this specification number have been quali- fied by engineering as meeting the requirements of this specification. 7 Coding System This material specification shall be referenced in other documents, drawings,

14、VTS, CTS, etc. as follows: GMP.PE.020 or GMN3405 8 Release and Revisions 8.1 Release. This material specification originated in Decem- ber 1999 and was approved by the PE Special- ist in August 2003. It was first published in Oc- tober 2003.
