Un DLF multil
11、ment peut dfinir des CHAMPS DE RAYONNEMENT irrguliers ou rectangulaires, symtriques ou asymtriques. Dans certains cas, le DLF multilment remplace une paire de mchoires dun DLF standard, dans dautres cas, le DLF multielement est utilis comme un troisime dispositif additionnel au DLF standard. En plus

14、644893 0733556 3T4 W TR 60977 Amend. 1 O IEC:2000 - 5 - INTRODUCTION Since the issue in 1989 of IEC 60977, multi-element BEAM LIMITING DEVICES (multi-element BLDS) have been introduced and are now widely used for determining the shape of the rectangular symmetrical or asymmetrical and irregular RADI
15、ATION FIELDS. In some cases, the multi-element BLD takes the place of one of the standard BLD pairs of jaws, in others the multi- element BLD may serve as a tertiary device, in addition to the standard BLDS. In addition to the shaping of X-RAY FIELDS, multi-element BLDS may, in some cases, be used f
16、or shaping RADIATION FIELD, with or without the use Of back-up BLDS. A muiti-element BLD may produce ELECTRON FIELDS, with or without ELECTRON BEAM APPLICATORS. A corresponding amendment has also been made to the disclosure standard itself, IEC 60976. The two amendments are published together. Copyr
